Enviroment reasosn aside (I realize thie will make storage way easier which is nice), the biggest problem with me is how easy it will be to get tricked by a bootleg.

The no plastic packaging is good definitely but you need to think of where the paper is sourced is it sustainable and also how the actual figure is still plastic. Im skeptical of the 84% figure. There are other things to consider when wanting to be environmentally friendly too.

The bit about the environment is 100% bullshit. A company that produces most of its luxury plastic goods in china, where you know their factories would not pass japanese environmental protection regulations, suddenly wants to save the environment by changing their packaging? Surely they're not doing this because a cardboard box is cheaper than molded plastic. Surely cheaper packaging/shipping will lead to cheaper nendoroids and not to gsc making more profit.🙃 They could've significantly reduced plastic use and still kept a small plastic window. Nendo dolls/swacchao don't have the same bootleg problem afaik.

This is not for enviroment, the brand become extreme greed. Too much cuts to save costs, less content in editions, box reduction size, less quality, and now this. But their prices are increasing. Honestly for now china brands are taking the market with better products and better prices.

I’m really excited about the new packaging!! Environmental reasons aside; Storage seems a lot easier and a lot easier to access and store extra parts. I love my nendos but a big factor as to why I never change the poses is because I don’t have a good way to store their extra parts. I absolutely hate how when I open up the blister pack all the small parts just jump out and I always struggle to get the parts back into the “correct” place. I trust gsc, tbh as long as theres the little circles on the side with various pose ideas using the different parts like on the old boxes i’ll be perfectly content :3

Hello There. I want to let you know I don’t have any nendoroid. But I know the feeling of plastic-free package. Im a Hasbro 6in collector (Star Wars, Marvel, GI Joe). And how Terribly it was for Hasbro. It didn’t want well, it lasted just a year. Profit really hurt a lot. Honestly I just want to see how long it will last (I give it a year, sorry).

@@setovessalius Yep, the statement was less plastic. Of course be better if 0 plastic, but they said 80% less plastic than initial. There’s better ways to do the new packaging still that requires less plastic, but still better than what we use to have

We need to really start thinking critically about how in love our consumer culture is with packaging. People normalize purchasing products because of packaging, which is already bonkers, but people being legit upset when packaging becomes less aesthetic and more functional is a real problem. We are allowed to collect and enjoy things, but we need to make sure our priorities dont get wacky.

I disagree, the company is supporting a cause that is great, but seems contradictory and forced to me. The package is part of the product as a whole. It helps protect, from visibility, has an identity. Of course, there are many ways to reduce plastic. How about not making so many plastic dolls then? Or is it all just a game to make more profit from consumers by making them think they are contributing to the environment?

Where do I get a Hassan Miku and does she come with a beard? 😂 Not trying to be mean but that was the funniest pronunciation of Hatsune Miku I've ever heard. The"ts" is pronounced like the "ts" in "artsy". It should be "Ha" (like "hard") "tsu" ("tsoo") and "ne" (like the first syllable of "negligent").
