28-300mm Lens is a very good lens, but its a very versatile lens for travel photography. For weddings its not a good option as the aperture is not as wide as needed. I suggest you go for some lens with aperture of 2.8 like 70-200mm, the price is high but the quality is top class. U can alternatively get a 50mm 1.8g and a 85mm 1.8g, buth lens combination is superior with your D750 with aperture of 1.8. Thanks and Regards :)
