I’m sorry to be negative Nancy but this was quite disappointing to me. When I saw them tease this on Instagram I was SO excited but now? I’m like wtf is this!? It’s huge and the empty space between the shades?? It’s just way too big and the colorstory isn’t anything new, different or exciting. Just my opinion of course. Thank you for the review Angie 🎉! You still did a killer looks of course and I really enjoyed watching.

i actually enjoy the color story but i have to agree about the size. the palette is already split down the middle in colors, i didn’t need them to show me which side is which with that awkward space. the columns not being aligned is a no from me as well. i would’ve been interested in picking this up but there are so many options and i have so little money that a palette being this unnecessarily huge unfortunately is a deal breaker for me

This is such a silly nitpick, but it drives me crazy that it's luminous and shadow. Luminous is an adjective! Shadow is a noun! That's not how this works! I've been thinking about it since I got the announcement email this morning. 😅

I so agree! I LOVE OE but their English words need a better copy editor. Christmas Eve, Merry Christmas, Stone and Rock, and Jewels and Gem have some non-words and misspellings. And they reuse names… the orange shimmer here, Solar? I’m pretty sure it’s an existing color (as a matte) in Sölmane II. It looks unprofessional.

Love the theme, love the colour story, love the art but the palette is just too big for me. Super happy Oden’s Eye is going back to Norse mythology and also happy they’re releasing more blushes and highlighters.

I really love the theme and art of this collection. Learning with Angie should be a thing lol! I would have preferred for the palette to be split into two though because I only want the cool toned side. The format of the packaging is a bit big because of the extra spacing around the shadows as well. I guess I'm just not into mega palettes anymore. The two looks you created were stunning as always!

I love the cool tone look the most, being a cool toned girl. I also prefer the less textured shimmer formula, but the more flaky formula isn't an automatic no from me. It's funny how we change our preferences, I remember when I was younger and big palettes became a thing I wanted all the colours. Now I'm older and have more experience I know that I find a more edited palette easier. So 16 is a perfect size. I only break this rule nowadays with the Beauty Bay palettes and the ColourPop ones as they tend to follow a specific theme other than just rainbow. I've realised with big palettes that have lots of different random colours I personally get confused about what looks to try and end up not getting as much use from them. I like that this palette has the 2 sides as that is easier to work with for me to come up with a look. I wish I had your talent for picking colours!

One thing I want to mention about the highlighters is that if the surface you are applying highlight to is not perfectly smooth it will not look as wet. The more textured the skin is, the more straight up sparkly and not wet the highlighter will look. Angie has pretty smooth skin and also I think her lighting brings out the wet sheen even better. Amanda (Makeup.Just.For.Fun) tried these on in her video and it just looked like straight up glitter on her cheek. And she also has pretty smooth skin, but I think her lighting is a little different. My textured upper cheek bones could never make these highlighters work in a flattering way.

I look at the colder side of this palette and can't stop thinking about what the Xenon palette could have been. Oden's eye has such good taste and they beautifully find complementary colours to whatever the "colour base" or concept they work with.

In a hotel watching this in bed. My Cliff got me a 5 night stay in a beautiful retro room. I am in so much pain I needed time to just relax. He was so sweet. I love this palette. For me, it is a pass. The looks are beautiful. I love the cool tone and warm tones. It was just too big, and it would literally live with others and get lost. LOL 😅😊❤

I dont care for flaky shades plus the colors are something i have many times over and the giant palette with a bunch of empty space, nah. I want smaller sized palettes. It almost looks like the highlighter would have made a better shimmer than the shimmer on the 2nd look. Its a big palette but they don't do big pallettes very often, so its okay, imo.

The collection is lovely. I usually don’t gravitate to warm tones but these combination of shades makes it impossible to stay away. I am concerned about the quality of this pallet since it was made in China. I thought all their pallets were made in Europe? Has the fabulous formula been changed?

Those highlighters make me think it's a pearl-based formula. It's not shimmer, they're pearls. At the microscopic level, they're more rounded in shape and therefore refract light in a softer way than the sharp edges of crystalline micas used in the typical shimmers
