Shady? Why is it shady on either persons part? It’s just business. All ownership of masters returns to every artist. It’s in all contracts.

Jay offered 1.5M to Dame, and I believe he refused it back in "January 2023" - "In January 2023, Dame shared with Veuit Podcast that Jay-Z offered him a “disrespectful” number for his portion of Roc-A-Fella. “I was offered a certain amount of money for my interest in Roc-A-Fella Inc., which owns Reasonable Doubt,'” said Dame. “They offered me like $1.5 million - Jay-Z"

@@BringingDownTheBand you guys started the show from the perspective that Dame was doing something shady everyone knew that the rights went back to jay z after 35 years it’s been reported for years jays lawyer statement was simply to discourage bidders and keep the price down

Jay-Z's being respectful, telling potential buyers the truth = if they buy it, they might take an "L" + he'll own his masters in 7-years, so he doesn't really have to buy it at all

The sells is not for Reasonable Doubt it's for 1/3 of Rocafella which owns Reasonable Doubt. Once Jay gets the album the buyer will still own a 3rd of the company

The company ONLY ASSEST is the album. Which reverts back to Jay Z in about 6.5 years. So in 2031 you’ll own 1/3 of a business with no assets and is not doing any new business. Also the other 2/3 owners control the voting rights so you can’t anything with out their approval

Jay Z is being forthright. A good business man doesn't have to get over and bamboozle the new investor. I hope it gets O bids. Dame is a liar and full of deceit.

Dame been trying to sell his shares, for years. Why is it only now that Jay Z want to "provide" this information? It's not for either of them to say anything. For example, if you buy a car from your neighbor is it his responsibility to explain that engine burns oil? It's your responsibility to do the research. And if the neighbor's brother steps up and says "it burns oil" he has every right to be mad.

You trippin.... you just gave an explanation on why it's ok for someone to sale you a Limon for a car... yes jay should notify people because once the album revert back to jay if that person don/ make they money back they will say they got cheated.
