i'm a old guy in my 70's and at that age you look back at your life what was good and what was bad. For me the biggest problem was going to a private Baptist school from K-4th grade. I don't even understand how it came about because my parents both worked basic blue collar jobs so they didn't have the money. My guess it was my grandparents mucking around. When my parents finally pulled me from the private school and I went to public school my life got better in both grades and socially. So I am grateful for public schools.

Why not donate to the public schools who get short changed when it comes to school funding?

We need to support our public schools not private schools. There's no way to support all public school students with private and charter schools as this will only lead to a shutting down of all public schools. We can have private, charter and quality public schools to serve all students. Such support like Jay-Z's will only further lead to the decline of public school education. Pretty soon, K-12 will not be free for anyone.

I'm a public school teacher too and that is NOT true . I've taught at a Charter School here in Oakland and a Public school . Charter Schools get to select which kids they want to Teach and more importantly which parents .they want. By requiring Parents to show up to a bunch of meetings . That selects the more entitled families who are wealthy enough to be available after school and early evenings. You're lying
