The creatures he hunts are no joke, they range from oversized boars capable of destroying a tank to a plant that grows once every 100 years, and he is competing against other hunter too. Sure it may be a little slower than the Cannon but it isn’t in any way terrible. And i think that’s due to having some connection with the cannon episodes. The filler isn’t just stand alone stories. They will reference them and bring them back up in cannon episodes. And cannon characters will even make an appearance in filler episodes and the other way round too. For me it only adds to the story

I enjoy doing both anime content and gaming content. Plus I literally have close to no idea what happens in one piece still.
