Live service games have the plug pulled due to licenses, CarX isn't in the same bracket as these as they are not restricted by those licenses for the vehicles. This is why people want offline mode, because at this point we know exactly what the publishers are doing.

the graphics are ok. it's the visuals(colors, etc) that are different compared to other racing games. if you want to tweak colors, shadows, etc on PC you can do this with reshade.

Carx has an offline mode, you can switch it on the top-left of the map. Also, fh5 can be run at 60fps full max on a 970. Tdu SC can barely reach 10 fps with that pc, everything at lowest.

CarX has an "offline" but you still connect to a live service with the game. If you've played CarX, you've seen other players driving around the world, even if you're "offline". That's because you're all still connected to the same server.

The graphics doesn't look that great for the performance it requires lmao. Sucks how my 4090+5950x PC struggles to hit 60 fps with DLSS at quality settings @ 5120x1440. Frame gen. Looks horrible with its artifacting as well even if it gives me a constant 80 fps.

I was originally going to buy Solar Crown while waiting for CarX Street but since Street released first I'm quite happy just playing that instead. Never got into CarX Drift because I wanted an open world for drifting so Street has been an absolute blast! FH5 drifting is a bit more satisfying but the map is so damn boring, I've spent hundreds of hours drifting up and down that same one mountain and I just can't anymore.

CarX street works even if I get random internet disconnection, singleplayer still works the same. It only informs you about the disconnection.

Less and less people trying to connect that's why now most time seems better but same issue still exist. As for graphic/performance on hardware that can run FH5 on max you will be able to run this on low/mid in 40fps. Some of positive comments are like "servers are crap, performance sux, will wait maybe they will fix it"

I remember the days where I was 786/256 of the queue. As for optimization I am running a 5800x, 3070 8GB and 32GB ram and I am defaulted to medium at 1080p (The recommended settings are the same settings but for a lower spec PC)

I have no idea what are the prices in the place where u live Goose, but for example in my country - Poland, if I want to build a setup like yours i'd have to spend about 11k PLN - and it's based on the cheapest versions of all components. Our national minimum in poland is right now 4300 pln GROSS xD so basically your setup is mine and not only mine drem bro.. I still play on gtx 1060 6gb oc and i was truly struggling on this trial version

I'm not sure about car sounds in this game because I heard from other sources and listened to some of them myself and I feel like they are definitely not as good as FH5's, as many others would say as well. Although, from the clip you showed it does sound really good. Maybe it's good for some cars while being very bad on others(for example the Porsche 918. It's not great at least.) But by far the biggest issue everyone had is the server connection. FH5 also had connection issues during its launch, but unlike TDU, you can play FH5 freely in single player back then, and the game can be played offline as well(may not be interesting but you can at least play it). TDU being an online only game really hurts, since you literally cannot play without internet connection, and people are taking minutes or even hours just to get on and play the game. This game definitely has potential to be a great game. It just needs some fixes(which is possible since updates will be coming soon).

the balancing of the game goes out the window after you unlock cross country races at level 15 and it only gets worse the further you level up.. I'm on the grand tourer races and some of them are pretty much impossible

Man, this is such a great perspective on the games negatives and positives! Thank you! 🙏🏽 However, I just wish we stopped getting these half-baked games on full release. This is the full game released early to those who pay for the GOLD edition. It's not a demo, it's not a beta, it's meant to be the full game! I paid $116 AUD for GOLD to play this game early. I couldn't get beyond 20 fps at 1080p. My PC isn't that great. But, during the DEMO, I was getting 30+ fps - so wtf is going on with the full game?!
