Would love to see OPI switch to the plant-based/cruelty-free/vegan formula permanently. Clearly the indie brands have demonstrated that you can be all of those things + some harmful ingredient-free and still produce a top quality nail polish. For the nail polish collection- love the Bee The Change and the toppers! The Leaf By Example green is also fantastic- I just don't see myself wearing it in the spring. Overall- a really solid collection!

Totally agree. I wonder what they need to see or do to make the jump to cruelty free - I've heard that the laws in China have changed on animal testing, but I wonder if certain companies are grandfathered in or something.

They would still be able to sell their product online in China though! So the only two ways they could attain cruelty free status is to A) manufacture their products in China because non-imported products are not subject to random testing OR B) only sell their products online in China

Omg I am so happy to see that OPI has a vegan cruelty free line 👍🏽 I had always liked their formula. I have so many OPI polishes but when I switch my life to cruelty free I stopped buying. I really like this collection. I think it's a good spring collection for outdoorsy people. It screams nature to me. The cohesion is really strong in my opinion. So many I could see myself wearing. The blue and the one with the bud in the names were my favorite.

I love the OPI range its the only nail polish I use now, I just recently brought one of their Nature Strong nail polishes. The name of it is Natural Mauvement its almost like a pastel pink.

Leaf by Example is so pretty. I love a good green polish and may have to add that one to my collection. For smoothies, I love a peach/cherry combo with frozen avocado, vanilla protein powder, peanut butter powder, and pureed acai.

Bee the change and eco for it look like my favourites. I'd like to see them in person, so will have to go to my local beauty salon supplier and hope they've got them in. I would change to the nature strong line if they make the same kind of colours as their regular line. Smoothies - I love to use fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt in them. Blueberry and raspberry or strawberry and kiwi are 2 of my favourite combos. I also put rolled oats, flaxseed along with mixed seeds, a few grams of nuts, vanilla protein powder (I use gold standard) and some water to thin it out a bit. You can add sugar or sweetener if you want. Great for breakfast.

Oh my Gosh, I Love that green! It's just gorgeous! I'm like you Kelli, I love Green polishes. I recently bought a set of Modelones all green polish Gel polishes. They are awesome! There are 6 different green colors, 4 cream polishes and 2 glitter polishes. They are very pretty. I've been buying more Gel polishes because they are so quick to dry with the UV lamp. I'm not usually a big fan of gold, I prefer silver, but I do LOVE ROSE GOLD, and that gold/pink mix is one I would like to have. I don't often find rose gold or pink gold mix polishes. I love OPI's formula and their brushes--I always find that the corners of their brush make it easiest to get my edges clean. And I love that this line uses recycled material and plant-based ingredients! I also wish that they would move to this line much more and make it their regular line--the polishes perform the same if not better anyway! These colors are fantastic--I may have to pick up a Kick in the Bud and Leaf By Example--that green is AMAZING!!

What a gorgeous collection! I don't normally love collections that come out at this time of year, but this one is very much my sortof thing. I particularly love the pink, the green and the silver/blue glitter (that combo of the glitter over the green was stunning). And yeah the names are very cute too. I didn't actually realise OPI's regular line is not vegan/cruelty free, so yes I'd really like more Nature Strong...or for them to actually make all their polishes to this spec.

the names are an improvement for sure. i have exactly one OPI (a topper) and don't usually go for the brand much. i'm in the no-banana smoothie camp. my favorite combo so far is instant oats, peanut butter, milk, and either frozen blueberries or raspberries. gives a pb&j flavor, and the oats are filling.

I'm not a big smoothie fan, but I do have one that I really love: green apple and kale. Just those two. Something tart for the apple is a must, and the kale will be less bitter if it's been frosted on the plant, but that's a luxury I haven't had access to in years. Comes out absurdly bright green and looks like something out of a scifi movie :)

That green is so perfect! 💚 My favorite smoothies are always completely nondairy. I like a sour/tart taste that doesn’t work well with milk or yogurt of any kind in my opinion. So my perfect smoothie has a juice, usually cranberry, and a base of strawberries, raspberries, and lime. No bananas, blueberries, or apples because they really mute the tartness. Some pineapple, kiwi, and mangoes are pretty good too in smaller amounts.

I can't eat bananas :( But my favorite smoothie combo is frozen strawberry, mango, & peach with a little ginger juice & any non-dairy milk. I freeze my non-dairy milk into tiny ice cubes so I use a few of those + a little regular liquid non-dairy milk to help make up for the thickness a banana lends to the smoothie. I'm not too picky about which non-dairy milk I use, but I prefer oat milk or cashew milk for smoothies. My cousin really likes adding flax to her smoothies, and it doesn't add any flavor but it does help with keeping the smoothie thick. Sometimes I feel like the flax gets a little slimey, though.

Yes you can! You can really mix and match any base and top coat with your manicure regardless of brand. Like for example right now I have the Orly base coat on, the OPI polish, and then Cirque top coat 😁

It's pretty much a dupe for Total Betty! Up close, the OPI is slightly warmer toned but if you're avoiding dupes you can probably skip this one haha!

Is OPI splitting hairs on that animal testing claim still? As far as I am concerned, whether they do it themselves or outsource it, if any of their lines are being tested on animals, they are not cruelty free. OPI and Essie have been purged from my polishes and they need bunny certification across the board for me to buy from them again. I’m perfectly content with Orly and some indies.
