Hi, very impressed with the BOX X5 on all the reviews I have seen.The only change I would make is to move the ground post on the rear to the other side next to the RCA turntable inputs. The product looks very neat.👍

It should work just fine with your ZA3. :D We used V3 because they share the same size and look more matched.

I was excited at first, but then disappointed why not all opamps are socketed. 😢 It's a great budget solution but it could have been so much better with very little extra budget. Personally I have a real high end turntable with 3 MC cartridges/arms. But I'm always looking for a simple phono to help beginning vinyl enthusiast get the best experience so they will not be disappointed by their first entry into vinyl. I have done lots of modifications to a Jolida JD9 to know that just 2 single opamps of high quality is enough for high end MM. And now that I can buy a really good MC cartridge from China (Zhige brand) MC is within reach for budding audiophiles. I have the Ayima T3 Pro which frankly is amazing. Why? It has 4 dual opamp sockets, VARIABLE GAIN, and adjustable MC input impedance settings from 75Ω to 8.2kΩ. My comments/concerns: All opamps socketed No elco in signal path Adjustable MC impedance 50-1000Ω Gain for MM +RIAA fixed to 38dB is ok Extra gain variable with potmeter for second pair of opamps to accomodate any MC from 38 to ~72dB to keep noise and distortion as low as possible. Input power 12V DC or higher, not AC, so users can upgrade to a quiet linear power supply. A display for settings or VU like on the ZD3 would make it stand out above all competition. One button, push+rotary on the front for adjusting settings. One potmeter for continuous variable gain on the back? Proper ground terminal, star grounding I suggest using the same case as the ZA3 and call it ZP3. 😊 Price around $150 with standard ne5532 opamps. This would do real justice to a pairing with ZA3's (which I use in a 50k system and I love them).

To prevent electromagnetic interference so the BOX X5 can work more steadily.

Phono signals are very sensitive to EMI. Especially phono MC cartridges are very low Voltage. If you ever tried you will know to keep it away from any source of magnetic interference. Mobile phones cause a lot of noise in certain frequencies.
