Your last part talked about tactics. That was really great! I'm thinking you may have already done one but that would be a great series. Team & solo tactics, different scenarios etc. It would've saved a lot of screaming at the tv if I had a basic understanding of when to zig & when to zag. Also, timing is really important! Great video as always. We need to hashtag #hegone! Speaking of group play, I saw the weirdest thing today. Three ships were teamed up. They retreated to a corner together & asked for help. I was in the middle with bb & was in a position to help. They were up against 3 ships who saw me coming while my "team" ran damn near off the map together & then didnt fire at all while I got obliterated from 3 angles. Have you seen this scenario before?

Tips on which commander to use for the Pensacola. Currently have Norman Scott but the slow ass turret turn speed, I added Charles Madden from the UK to try and speed it up some. Any other options to use? Love the vids!

That sounds like a solid setup to me. Not much you can do about the turrets aside from anticipating where you will want to be firing next and lock your guns in that direction so they are already turned when the time comes to fire

Another good video by TB. I was ready to spend my 18k on Mogami but instead I got the N.O with a lot of boost just to run away from the Pensacola. I felt I was wounded in the ocean and the sharks smell the blood miles away. All the guns on me. With N.O is much better With lowest Upgrade. Now I'm in delima. Grind for Baltimore or Mogami? Also I have Scott and Yamamoto and I tend to trade the 2nd inspiration (lower % on citadel hits) for concealment.

Personally, I prefer mogami. Torps are a nice deterrent.. IF you can utilize proper hiding technique.

Yep. I will go for Mogami. Easier to collect 18k(already have 8k) than ship xp. I would like to see Hipper but with no German commanders it's hard. I spent 17 crates for them or at least to get Sims but no luck. But I got Cunningham and as inspiration,Scharnhorst is playable. I thought I suck on BBs but it's all about commanders....

I found the AP to be very reliable at all ranges. I specifically remember citadeling Nagatos and Colorados at long range.

I hit them long range on the Baltimore all the time, but don't get so many with the NO. You shooting deck line or water line when you're hitting those?

I get most AP work done at long range by getting plunging hits on the deck, so I aim higher...this is in the Indianapolis, but they have the same guns, I think...?

I almost always aim for the water line. Bullvi has a good video of him in the Pensacola hitting several citadels on a Colorado from the edge of his range.

Several things: 1. I wonder how many people will get the Joe Frazier reference? I mean, I'm old, so... 2. Have you made an Indianapolis video yet? You may not have it, which is fine...just curious about your opinion of it compared to the New Orleans... I find it's a NO, but with radar instead of a spotter plane...plus, it makes buckets of silver... GG, and cheers!

If I get just one youngster to watch the thrilla in manilla I'll have done my job. I like the Indy, there should be a video up in the cruiser playlist. The one problem with it is the cutout midsection of the ship can allow for citadels when angled due to shells hitting below the smokestacks

If you can't see them then you are not within their detection range. There is a beginner series video on vision and spotting mechanics that I go into it quite in depth. One of the more important mechanics of the game to understand

The MOST important to understand. It's how an Amagi can fire, and not be seen.

It's basically the Penscola. Except it doesn't hit as hard, and has more armor. Both ships are pretty unforgiving. I deal more damage in the Penscola, but pay for the slightest mistake.

Shoot broadside targets that your gun caliber can penetrate using the correct ammo, while aiming at the waterline at close to medium-long range and at the deck line at long range

I managed to get Yamamoto and added his inspiration to Scott, it's a nice boost in penetration power. I was able to citadel an Iowa that wasn't camping at the back of the map for about 12.5k all in. The only major complaint I have with this ship is the turret rotation speed... so I may use Madden as my second inspiration to boost that up a bit.

Yeah I'm 50/50 on whether I'd use Yamamoto on my cruisers, but I'd definitely run him as an inspiration on at least some builds. Sounds like you're getting most of the good commanders

@@TbullGaming In terms of the IJN cruisers, I actually think Mikawa is incredibly well-suited because of his stealth and survivability bonuses. When you have a fragile ship with very strong torpedos and probably the best HE shells in class, he just seems to compliment that philosophy more.

@@TbullGaming As for commanders, yeah it's been better of late. I'm only missing Takagi, Lutjens, von Muller and Ciliax. Bigger problem now is gathering the orders and insignias to level folk up.

@@TbullGaming I'm taking my time finishing out the Myoko grind, it's a fantastic ship. Once it's done I'll try out Yamamoto on it to see how it compares. It's a good problem to have, I suppose. I like having options. I really had hoped to get started on the German cruisers by now but considering my upturn in crate success, I can't really complain.
