Great presentation man, no pressure or hard sell. A lot of the items basically sell themselves and some of the "nice to haves" can even be must haves depending on how much you value security and things. Thank you, great list!

Some things to consider on the good to have but not necessarily needed list are redundancies. I learned this lesson on the very first camping trip in our RV. I hooked everything up all hunky dory(waste hose, electric, cable TV) but when it came to hooking up the water, the water source was up by the front of the cab. I had a 15' water hose and I needed another 10 feet. Thankfully my father-in-law was able to run out his hose and all was right but now, I have an extra fresh water hose, extra waste hose, extra cable line, and extra electric service line as well. Also, water regulator and Y hook up too so you can hook up fresh water line as well as having an extra water hookup if needed.

In the prepper community there is an adage that often applies to RVers. (especially boondockers) The adage says that "Two is one and one is none." Backups are good!

Nice job. A very comprehensive list. Two things I would add since few RV's come with one is a lug wrench or breaker bar with socket that fits your tire lugs and a jack in case of a flat tire. A torque wrench to check the lug tightness wouldn't hurt either.

New campers NEED to join a caravan of experienced travelers. New campers NEED to observe and learn. New campers NEED to be resilient. And eventually, new campers NEED to be mentors to newer campers. . Stuff ends-up in the donation pile at camp. Lighter is better, less is better. . 2003, we converted a 1996 Ford CF8000 to our concept of an ExpeditionVehicle. Nearly two decades full-time live-aboard. Twenty-four months twenty-four thousand miles around South America. Alaska, Panama, all over North and Central America. Summers up rough logger tracks to remote mountain lakes. Winters on isolated Baja beaches.

The 30 amp to "110 volt" adapter is slightly misleading. The 30 amp is 110 volt, and so is the adapter. The adapter would be better explained as 15 amp or fitting a standard household duplex convenience receptacle.

Thanks Ryan...I am still in the learning phase...sometimes it almost seems like I am studying for a degree in RVing...lol You explained everything really well and I can see why buying any of the products you have detailed here, would make Rving a whole lot easier and far less worrying down the road. I do worry, when I begin this journey, if I will have enough knowledge about how things work and how to protect everything...I think your video sure made a lot of that learning a whole lot easier. I still have about a year, before I start and being an older single woman, I want to make sure I know exactly what I am doing and make sure I have as much knowledge as my poor brain can handle. You did a great job explaining all of these products...I don't know where you are located, but when I begin my journey, I'd love to have you helping me pick which products to buy...take care and thanks so much again!! I also subbed...loved this video...made things a lot easier to understand.😊

You don't need to buy RV toilet paper to use in your RV,,Costco Toilet paper breaks down just like RV toilet paper so you can save money on that, and yes I do use the Costco Paper and have tested it out,, Simple test,,Put RV toilet paper and Costco Toilet Paper in a glass, just a sheet or two, shake them both up and they will break down so just a tip to save on the Pocket book, Kirkland Signature is the brand,,at Costco

Hi Ryan. I'd like to pick your brain about the black tank treatment chemicals. I know that many RVers use them and some others don't. I belong to the latter category. Maybe somebody who has knowledge of the chemistry will chime in also. The RV black tank chemicals that I have seen are a combination of a deodorizer and some enzymes. My understanding and opinion is that if your RV's wastewater system is functioning properly, (i.e. toilet bottom seal, check valves, and P-traps in good working order.) that you won't need a deodorizer except for the air freshener that you probably keep in your bathroom at home. As to the enzymes, I am familiar with their use in septic systems. Enzymes help to "digest" the solid material so that it doesn't just keep building up and up. The thing is though, that this process takes time. The wastewater system in an RV isn't a septic system. It could be fairly accurately described as a system of "collect, hold and transfer." The limited size of the black tank means that except in the most extreme circumstances, the waste won't be held in the tank long enough for the enzymes to significantly transform the solids. RV dump hoses, valves, etc. are built of large enough size to handle pretty much anything that goes into the black tank without clogging, so there isn't really a need to use enzymes from that aspect. In addition, when the black tank gets emptied, the waste goes into a system that will eventually provide approved treatment (either by a pump-out service or by a municipal sewer system) for both the liquid and solid material, thereby further negating the need to add enzymes to the black tank. As such, I see no reason to add chemicals to my black tank. I view these chemicals as being a band-aid measure to be used only until you can get the RV repaired properly, and sometimes as an up-sell item at stores. Maybe you can update me with expert knowledge about why these black tank chemicals are really needed? Thanks.

Hi there, As there are a variety of AC models and power requirements, we are unable to let you know if the Honda EU 2000 would power your unit's AC. We do suggest looking into the owner's manual for your AC and comparing it to the power output available by this type of generator.

Each category of RV has multiple price points. This not only accounts for quality, but for amenities, options and/or standard features. Depending on the manufacturer and/or dealership some of these items will be included as a starter kit, dealer or manufacturer installed add-ons, and/or optional equipment and features. Additionally, this is a small sample of the tens of thousands of products available to every RV owner. Like everything else we choose to buy, each RVer will choose which item or items they need or want. Adding items to your RV adds weight to the unit. I have an onboarding generator. Others opt to use this space for storage and may choose to buy a portable generator. If everything was standard, many smaller and/or budget RVs wouldn't have room or the weight rating necessary to carry additional cargo (clothing, food, pots, pans, dishes, items such as a bbq and furniture, inflatable water toys, etc, etc.. Every item adds weight.. My DRV ES Houston has a max rating of 24,000 pounds thanks to the triple axle and frame. This allows me not only the room, but cargo capacity to afford an onboard generator and heavier equipment like the granite countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms. With three A/Cs and an all electric unit, aside from the Truma, I need the large generator to power the unit when I'm not plugged in and/or not enough solar power generation. New RVers quickly learn what they do and do not need. They also learn what brands they prefer. Another way to look at it is not all vehicle buyers choose a leather interior. Personal preference and our budget play a roll in all of our purchase decisions. Cheers!

If your paying $1000 for a computer your playing WAY to much.
@clydealspaugh87016 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary S. I both agree and disagree with you. It depends upon the intended use of your computer. For general use, one should be able to find a computer for much less than $1000 with ease. But for certain genres of computer use, a higher end machine is highly desirable and those machines can easily and quickly top the $1000 mark. I'm thinking of serious online gaming and business users who are working with power/processor/memory hungry applications. Those frequently dealing with large spreadsheets, graphics heavy applications such as professional video editing software, and etc. will want their machine tailored to those tasks. These tasks can usually be handled by an off the shelf machine, but for business users, the purpose built computer can be a big savings in the long term.
