A very handsome piece. What the chinese are doing in terms of QC and polishing is very impressive! A great entry level "explorer" type timepiece for those of us who can't fork out 5 to 10k for the real thing.

I bought this watch too, have worn it since it came. I got a fantastic deal during the 11/11 sale. $57.58 shipped. Love it keeps fantastic time, looks great, feels great all in all a fine homage of the Rolex. Great video and not just because I agree with you, honest review. I love the vintage 36mm too, the PT5000 movement is awesome and the watch is fabulous, just not an everyday wear like the Air King.

Nice! They got a lot right about this watch. I like the black polished dial and the new applied logo without additional writing. The minute hand is a little short but not by much. It's also nice to see the green second hand and colour matched writing on the dial.

I think they've definitely got a fair bit more right and the lume does look a little bit better but still not quite there. Least they're making moves in the right direction

This is a very cool homage. The new Air King is true sport piece. They will put the crown guards on the next one with a upgraded movement. San Martin will probably due that.

I like this!!!! Simple and elegant. Super nice watch. Me want! 😁 The only thing I i would like to is a Miyota 9015 or 9039 used from time to time. NH35 movements are great but this is just a personal preference. Great review. Cheers!

Thank you for a great review, I have this watch and I love it, that brilliant no nonsense, 'time only' watch, all and any other info you can get from your 'connected device/phone etc. But the one thing that does it for me is the different dial adding to the overall effect of the watch, which for the price is 'amazing' and better than many 'Sub Master/Sea Mariner' types available?

Love the look of this watch, but never used Aliexpress. Are they reliable for delivery to the UK? Likely to be hit by any additional charges?

I've ordered from Aliexpress (not just watches) many times and I've only rarely had issues. I try to stick to sellers who offer the free return service, in case of any problems. I also try to stick to sellers who offer Paypal as a payment method. Delivery to the UK is USUALLY fast these days, especially if the seller uses "Aliexpress Standard Shipping". Items usually arrive in less than 2 weeks and recently I've been receiving some items in less than 1 week. For purchases from the same seller under £135, Aliexpress add UK tax automtically at the point of checkout, so the tax is already paid before entering the UK. If you go ahead, I'd suggest inspecting and testing the watch thoroughly on arrival. If you're not happy with it, you currently have 15 days to open a dispute with Aliexpress and to request a free return (where this is available). Having said all this, buying from AliEx does not suit everyone. It's a question of balancing risk & reward. Some people will be willing to take a chance on a low cost, high spec watch from AliEx. Others will prefer to spend extra and have the peace of mind of dealing with a local high street retailer. You may want to test the water first, by buying a very low cost item from AliEx to see what it's like, although bear in mind, that some very low cost items may use slower shipping methods. Also, don't forget to take all the usual online precautions e.g. checking sellers' ratings and customer reviews before buying. Hope this helps!

Excellent review as always. You know, this is the only Rolex design I actually like. They did a good job on this one, though I'd probably put it on a nice good quality black or deep green leather strap. I'm definitely having a think about this one, only I do like good lume, it's the one thing that's kept me away from Pagani. Is it an improvement on other watches from them? I'm trying to give myself the excuse to get one! 😂

Cheers mate, that's really appreciated. The lume is a slight improvement, especially on the hands but it's not great overall TBH, it's still an area that PD needs to work on. Other than that, PD haven't got much wrong on this one, IMO. It's grown on me more and more the longer I've had it, especially when I swapped the bracelet for a black leather strap.

It’s alright .. I have one .. but it’s not s shade on the real Rolex. I bought the PD version to have a ‘stunt double’ for work and gym’. Decent enough watch but if you’re comparing to the actual Air King? … It’s not even close :😏 But if you wanted to either ‘try it out’ or simply have this cuz you like the design .. it’s pretty good. I just wish they’d copied the back of the case as well as they did the rest.

I found it a bit tricky too, it took some perseverance. A good quality spring bar tool makes a big difference as well, I swear by the Bergeon tool I have. Good luck!
