In Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif was sworn in Monday as prime minister for a second time, days after newly elected members of Parliament were seated amid protests by lawmakers from the party of ousted and jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sharif will lead a coalition government after none of the major parties won a majority of parliamentary seats in February's election, when Khan supporters accused the military of election tampering. Regardless of actual policy, Khan's enduring popularity as an anti-establishment figure comes from "a young, disaffected population, a set of regimes that historically does not deliver, and underlying structural crises that just get worse," says Aasim Sajjad Akhtar, associate professor of political economy at Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad. "That's why I think you have this groundswell of opinion which is both anti-domestic elite and also anti-foreign elite."

During Imran Khan , Pakistan’s GDP was growing by 6% and that was in-spite of Covid. Poor population was getting free medical care through health card. There were thousands of trees planted to help environment, He made cancer hospitals, universities. Terrorist attacks improved significantly. No one has done this for Pakistan since its birth. US policy is destabilizing a volatile region. You have to negotiate with the one who is supported by the people. He was Prime Minister for a little over 3 yrs out of the 5yr term.

Thank you for this much needed conversation. As an American Pakistani who supports Imran Khan, the gentleman forgot to mention that IK built free cancer hospitals in Pak. In his short and interrupted term, he introduced a health card system to make private care available for poor ppl. He created 'langar khanas' for free food for poor. He spoke of climate change, islamophobia in the west and rampant corruption in his own country (demanding the international community to not create safe tax havens for loot of the corrupt elite) in the UN. He has inspired and united a very young population to come out and vote as rebellion against the corrupt elite and the sadistic/power hungry and decadent establishment of Pakistan. Someone has to get their hands dirty....he was the one! Ppl respect him for his sincerity, drive and commitment to persevere through traps of the mafias in Pak. There's a lot more that separates him from other politicians in the world today.

Election results were rigged in broad daylight, Pakistan Army failed miserably and pathetically despite the massive scheme, months planning with the aid of British and USA embassy to rig elections in favor of their puppet candidate. Pre poll rigging included so many methods, changing polling stations was not enough, they changed family numbers , names, rooms, area codes, cities. They changed these atleast 3 times, so everytime checking gave new result. They intentionally changed the location names and school names so people get confused which school in that are is their polling station. Despite all efforts Imran Khan voters came in droves as early as 8am to que for his candidates. His candidates win with landslide in KPK and Punjab, in Karachi, Hyderabad in Sindh and few seats in Balochistan but that didn't stop American imposed Fascist Dictator to send his troops to RO offices, polling stations to rig in broad daylight and Fuckin Biden Administration to accept a illegal unlawful Criminal Prime Minister! The man laid the foundation of changing the system without the PR stunts. System was put in place to hold the bureaucrats accountable, schemes were pout in place for the most poor population, the man made the most significant and impactful case for Muslims around the world we've seen in decades, improved economy which was actually sustainable, amazing achievement for environment (tsunami of trees), practical steps were being taken to have one curriculum for all students thus improving the standard of public institutions as a result and not to mention the amazing performance during covid that the UN urged the world to follow Pakistan's example. Introduced health card for the very first time in Pakistan allowing Pakistanis to have FREE healthcare, something not common even in the west, all these were aimed at uplifting the lower and middle class. No he’s not correct. Imran Khan was bringing tangible differences in the way country was being run. Free health card with a 10 million 10 insurance for every Pakistani, His one & ten billion tree tsunami, interest free loans to young entrepreneurs, new hospitals and schools and universities, record exports and foreign exchange remittances. Shelter homes with free food for poor labourers, interest free housing loans to deprived members of the society, record tax collections and GDP growth of 5.9 & 6% in two of his three years term. The way Pakistan managed Covid pandemic under him was another achievement. It is mockery of Democracy in Pakistan. At the day end of voting, results were compiled by RO ie Returning Officer and each representative of party signed and received the copy duly signed by RO, on page called NO 45.. These results were sent to the Election Commission who compiled result and issued form 47. The results were changed by the election commission. Majority voters were lowered down ward in the list and those with less votes were declared as winner in their constituency. Such situation is highly disgusting and not in line with rule of law of Democracy. The opposition plus 13000 workers are in jail without any legal cover. As such the present government has no standing as per Democracy.

For example in health he gave universal health card for every family without affiliattion to any party . Every family got 10 millions rupee of insurance which is ist of its kind in the world. Repaired health system. In education he made universal syllabus for all public & private educational institutions. In environment also he made records. In manufacturing he increased manufacturing,exports ist time in history despite getting almost a default country when he started govt. Improved economy according to IMF. Economy was growing 6 % . Excuse me... Every single party in Pakistan has to engage with the religious bourgeois... It is called the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif, Zardari etc have all used and abused religion in the name of getting power.... The main difference between Khan and the others is.... Khan was no financially corrupt and was backed by the middle class educated people.
