While the collection looks really promising, really like the inclusion of the stadiums and past winners like they used to have in past collections, I can't help but feel disappointed in the kits the players are wearing. I am obsessed with football kits, so maybe this is just me, but I hate it when collections do not have the players in their actual tournament kits and instead use older ones or photoshop (like Topps). It's not even Panini's fault this time, but the damn companies who are releasing their kits way too damn late for some reason. Can't remember the last time something like this happened for a final tournament.

Because panini don't give a shit. They'd rather maximise profit than get the correct players/kits in the collection. Sad state of the times

I dont remember the last time kits took so damn long to get released for a final tournament, and I've seen a bunch of them.

Of course you can blame them, they released the card collection before the final team had even qualified. They do not care anymore and as I said only want to maximise profit they don't care about the quality of their products anymore.

In correct transfers and players with shirts of the wrong club. That's down to panini not wanting to wait an extra month to produce them

Yes, they definitely have their flaws, but strictly speaking about using the wrong kits, it's the manufacturer's fault because they are releasing them so bloody late, which is not normal for a final tournament. Panini have always launched albums for the Euros and World Cup about 3 months prior (at least where I'm from) and there was never the problem of wrong kits on players, because they used to release them on time. Now, for some reason, they are launching them so fucking late.

There are 20 special stickers to collect which are placed in every hundred packets. They are very collectable so can't be stuck in the book or ordered from panini as missing stickers. Good to have as a sale to potential buyers.

Not the biggest fan of the blue/purple colours for every player. The classic player stickers that every World Cup collection since I don't even know when, looked great enough already. Why change something that has always looked fine? These kinda look like they're from a non World Cup collection. I do quite like the gold shiny ones even if I still prefer the classic silver ones though.

Looks like Panini have finally given up, being as this will probably be their last World Cup collection for a while. Terrible, cartoony stickers & a stupid numbering system. I think they need to go back & look at their classic albums like Italia 90 & Mexico 86 & see how it's done properly.
