I was pleased to learn that those of us in the US can get these new Parf products straight from Axminster. While TSO has a small selection of UJK Parf products (and some solid unique products), US customers can get all of the Parf products delivered in a week with free shipping at a non-so-bad $120. I had assumed that there would be a large premium to order from Axminster to the US, the prices are very reasonable. In fact, I think if you want to get a more affordable MFT type bench, ordering the UJK Multifunction Workbench is a good idea. If I wanted an additional MFT surface I would probably get that. Or maybe just buy the UJK HDF Valchromat Top.

Another brilliant product. I'm currently researching MFTs and plan to build one in the not-too-distant future. I find my table saw impractical for cross cutting most of the pieces I find I need to cut. I also like to work to an extreme level of accuracy, often far beyond what is required and I hope that the repeatability of an MFT can help with that. I was also thinking about mounting my router lift in the MFT, so that in combination with the various fences and other accessories it could double up as a giant router table.

Hi Ashley, I have nothing against the concept of the MFT3 except that the tops may not be accurately drilled. For a perfect MFT top use the Parf Guide System and then you will have accuracy to at least 0.002 of a degree. Cheers Peter

I intend to customise it a fair bit with some added t tracks, custom side rails and the aforementioned router lift. Keep up the excellent videos.

Peter, very useful thanks very much. I do find it strange that Axminster no longer sell the sheets of the orange coloured MDF without any holes given that they sell the ones that have been predrilled. I did ask at one of their shops as to why it had been dropped and they didn't know the answer. Having bought your parf set from them I would have thought it would be sensible for Axminster to offer the MDF sheets ready for people to design their own table arrangement using your excellent system.

i'm confused, if you have lines marked on your workpiece, what is the value of the stopblock. It does not provide repeatable cuts because you can still move the domino.

Have you (Axminster) considered selling a pre made MDF top cut with the same layout as the one you showed in this video? I appreciate it couldn't be the full 8x4' sized top, but a similar size to the standard Festool MFT top.

We had Weru windows installed bought from Germany. The hand cranked roller shutters kept us cool in the summer and made the house just a little safer whilst we were away. Weru have a UK agent (in Preston I think). Peter

The Domino 700 comes with built in spring loaded indexing pins, three either side of the cutter, which allows you to do more or less the same without the need for any additional tools. I don't think the Domino 500 has the same feature so for anyone looking to buy a Domino machine it might make sense to get the 700 if you are not already using the Parf system but want the same ease of accurate repetitive cutting.

The sping loaded pins on the DF700 are very good but the DF500 ones can be awkward as they are a different design. If you are working close to an end then the pins can be made to work but if you are working on domino slots down the length of a table leg (or whatever) then the pins are no good at all. Peter

I'm curious, has anyone made a parf plug? While i love my dog holes, I've built them into torsion box tops. It's not practical in my tiny shop to cover my surfaces, so I'm on the hunt for a proper plug solution. I'm thinking of rabbeting every hole to give it a square recess and then turning plugs out of delrin to fit, maybe embedding a screw in each one so that i can pluck them out with a magnet. but if this already exists i'd rather just buy it, haha!

Lovely stuff but I do the same with scraps and screws and get great satisfaction from it.
