It is very exciting, and we cannot wait to start running trains from the new station! Thank you for your well wishes! We are proud to have Jamie as our videographer!

@@RBMN - Jamie does an excellent job. Recently, she posted a video where Andy Muller appeared in a speaking role. I would love to see him appear much more often in his self-appointed role as a member of your PR department!

My one question about the Excursion to Tuckhannock is how will the 2102 turn around? Will the train be lead by a diesel to Pittston, will there be a new wye or turntable built, or is there some other place north where the T-1 can be turned?

There is a wye in Pittston
@RBMN6 ай бұрын
@HighballHenry is correct! We will turn the #2102 on the wye at Pittston. A diesel crew will assist if needed.

Pittston has the only wye on RBMN property up there. I'm wondering if 2102 will lead into Tunkhannock and why can't they go through Vosburg Tunnel then reverse to Tunkhannock as a bonus? RBMN ownership ends at Mehoopany by the P&G paper plant, and the line up to Athens below Sayre is leased from NS by Lehigh Railway. If NS would sell tat section to R&N then they could run excursions to Towanda and Athens. NS still operates the former LV from Athens to Ithaca, NY. There is a train station restaurant in Ithaca, not sure if it's still in operation. Parts of the ex-LV are gone in NY state and bits and pieces are operated by short lines some which operate diesel powered excursions. I'm riding the excursion from Nesquehoning on June 22.

yeah we get shot down like that 0:15 :)) haven't watched the whole vid as yet, in the process and wondering what the population of that town the station is going to serve is.
@OldsVistaCruiser6 ай бұрын
Nesquehoning has a population of 3,336. It's my understanding that the station will also serve RDC shuttle traffic into Jim Thorpe, as parking in JT is extortionate and nearly impossible to find.

@@OldsVistaCruiser Thank you for the answer. : ) Have a great day.

We will eventually be looking to connect Nesquehoning with Jim Thorpe, not just for those who live in Nesquehoning, but for people visiting Jim Thorpe from out of town.
