Idk what people are talking about, this game is fun to play. Still playing it since early access. Career is fun to play and get into. I knew 2k would fix certain things so I ain’t tripping. Perimeter defense gets buffed or shooting gets nerfed every year. Make the build you want then adjust in rebirth.

Shooting is lights out if you shoot open shots. These changes have saved this game this year. I’m not a kiss ass it was trash at first but these changes are elite for technically sound players.

What type of shots are you taking when your not open or wide open……

@@peakrobin717 standing toe behind the line 3 pts, mid range, post fades, shifty shooter running fades. Just find a way to do a simple small shift in your player simple side step to get open with a A+ shot speed. Ball is gone by the time they turn to contest the shot. Find a shot that has A+ timing and A+ immunity between C+ and B ~ height release for good shot clearance. Important that blue bar on the turbo is the green window always shoot in the blue to consistently hit. I use shooting boost and the yellow Gatorade to get an extra blue bar. You have to 2 blue bars to shoot a green so don’t be f in around. 1 to 2 dribbles get to your spot let it fly. Make sure you have all your shooting goat skills done in mycareer and completed all your hot zone in mycareer.

Also make sure all your shooting goat skills are done and all hot zones in mycareer very important. Make sure you always shoot in the blue bar on your turbo meter to make shots consistently. The blue bar is your green window. I play with shooting boost and the yellow gatorade to get 2 blue bars to shot a green. So yes don’t be f in around dribbling 1-2 to dribbles get to your spot left it fly. The objective is to shoot with as much blue bar as I can and be open it will green . Understand shifty shooter is always open jump not there take off 1 dribble shifty shooter. Shot not there 1 dribble get the defender leaning L1 back spin post fade. Your going to pull away from the defender post fading hof post fade or legendary tall player good wingspan good luck guarding it. Objective never shoot in the defenders face. 92 mid range 84 3pt 6’9 height 6’11 wingspan. Don’t use short wingspan too much rng. The longer your arms are the more consistent your hand shot cue is. Try it thank me later. Most importantly your wingspan has to be longer than the defender to consistently shoot unbothered. It matters hint why your player was falling on his face your wingspan to short to shoot over him

The new patch release, is friday the 18th, NOT today. I don't know why people keep saying "The gameplay is the same" and "Nothing has changed". When nothing has been done, it's because it's friday. But it was also said that the update you got, is a lil part of the season 2 and not all of it, which is why you gotta wait until friday. Im assuming they aren't done with everything. I just don’t find the game engaging. MyCareer is boring (AI is dog water if they aren’t relying entirely on pro play animations). Rec is the exact same in both positive and negative ways. I don’t even think the game feels good. Shooting is still a mess (I shouldn’t have to use rhythm shooting to just shoot the ball), layup animations are terrible, and the dribbling is overrated since you are constantly getting phantom movement animations without moving the controller
