To me, it's incredible how with just 4 more characters, 2 armor sets and 1 stadium plus some new features, the game gained way too much value, it got so much better. Still, missing more custom rules and perhaps another new offline mode, hopefully a proper offline Battle League mode, with several cups and super cups, kind of the Cup Battles format in the first game. And yeah, hopefully the way to get coins can get improved without the need of online mode, because RN is still way too poor and not so fun to grind with so many matches, even if you're into football/soccer as an enthusiast (as i am, i freaking love football but i recognize the grinding here can be exhausting).

It gained a lot of content for sure, but it still lacks in terms of actual game modes. The single player experience is still way too stiff as there's no variation between the cups (aside from the gear the opponent chooses). And I dont get the online mode at all. Like, you can only bring one character and then have to join some random Team and use 3 of the other random character builds? Just, why? This is so bad in so many ways.

5:18 and as for this, this is SO FAR from the truth. Like I said I don’t know what Nintendo is doing but nearly every single bad mechanic in this game has NOT be changed. For example, titans chip, or yet again character switching or interceptions or play defence and more. They can’t just lie to us like that when there’s still so much to sort out

2:25 that did not make it ANY better on defence. The character switching still never works which makes it hard to play defence still. I honestly don’t know what Nintendo are doing but the really need to fix that lol

Glad to see some more MS content and definitely looking forward to the build videos! Sadly I’m feeling kinda burnt out with this game. Between the number of people using stall out tactics and the slog of grinding coins (150 hrs and still 12k coins left to get all the gear) it’s just not feeling worth it 😢

I was able to use a 13 shooting and 24 technique Daisy on the first day of the update and I made like 2 out of 5 shots from long range, I do not know if it was just a lucky game or if Boom Boom just cannot stop far goals anymore.

@@TonesBalones So wait... you're saying there's a chance that characters like Luigi and Daisy with decent shooting and technique are decent offensive characters? Granted, they're not the best in terms of shooting compare to Mario and Rosalina or pass support compare to Toad, Peach and now Diddy Kong, but still it's something you can get away with as an option.

What they really need to patch in is a way to turn off shake dodge in the options menu, I've had an unreasonble amount of instances where I've squandered a charge shot in a tense moment where the mere act of pressing/releasing the button is enough to trigger the incredibly sensitive gyro sensor in the pro controller causing my character to dodge and lose the charge. I can only imagine how infuriating this game must be for people with motor control problems.

Looking forward to the build videos - I’ve got a Pauline build I’m mostly satisfied with (21 Str 25 Spd) but I’m a little torn on the route I wanna go with Diddy - very curious on what you’ll do with Diddy, would love to see that first!

Same, Diddy is basically Peach, so it is very hard to make a unique build for him. Right now I use a muscle Diddy long just because I think his tackle is better than Peach’s.

And increase the coins so new players don't have to grind them out to buy gears. Also we should be able customize what items should spawn in a match against friends like Strikers Club, which had 2 seasons that had only Bo-bombs and bananas as items

The stats are so random. I'd get if Rosalina had this strength level, since she's like a deity with the power of the lumas (even then it would be ridiculous) but Pauline has no reason to be this friggin strong.

I stopped playing for a while and yesterday I booted up the game and I'm no longer the owner. I have no idea why but some random person I admitted is now the owner. Thus, I have no way of getting it back... Any info you could provide would help.

Unfun fact: Currently with the games 14 character roster it would cost 78,400 coins to unlock all gear for all characters in the game. Since we know we have at least 2 more characters coming in future, assuming no new gear sets are added, that would push the total to 89,600. Keeping in mind the fastest way to “grind” coins in the game is doing a 3 match Galactic Cup for a mere 100 coins….. yeah, this is not the way to do longevity Nintendo.

They will probably add another gear set just like with every update and each gear part will probably cost 300 coins which is 1200 total per character. Which would be 108,800 coins total with all gears and characters.

I haven't touched this game for a long long time (months now) but I'm glad to see they are finally making the changes we needed. I just fear it's too late, as the interest is not there anymore. If I knew I could go back into it and get all the gear really fast, I would, but as it turns out, getting gear is still miserably slow which is the game killer for me. It just doesn't make sense!!! Fucking Nintendo, they're so shit at managing and balancing games.

I agree! What is the point of having gear and stadium modification if it takes thousands of hours to unlock. Let us unlock it quickly and give a money-sink at the end or something.

@@TonesBalones it's frustrating because when this game came out I was initially blown away by how fun and complex it actually is. surface level very fun and then deep level of mastery and play potential. then as I kept playing, I realized I'd have to surrender all my game time to this one game just to be able to experiment all the strategies I want, and even then the game modes and content were so limited. They could have had a big hit with this and they chose to do the bare minimum

man do i want this game to be popular to the masses, but its not for competitive players since goalie rng exists and its neither for our casual players since example: my little nephew literally felt bad about the first bit of following quote being simply untrue "easy to pickup hard to master"

The number 1 thing that kills this game competitively is the gear grind-wall. Unless you’re willing to give your life to the game for several days you’ll never make enough coins to experiment and teat as much as you really need to, and he’ll organizing tournament would be basically impossible unless there’s a no gear rule.
