I used to wear the original BDK Pas ce soir to work because it was inoffensive to my then co/workers and managers who hated any kinds of fragrances but especially what I wore. I was amazed when then they chose that one for an extrait. I do own the BDK extrait of Gris Charnel. Of course, I am still not able to buy any new perfumes but due to accidentally knocking over perfumes to reach for one, I have found other unopened vintage bottles or backups from yesteryear, when I was working and able to buy new perfumes. I now realize that I over-purchased perfumes as they will all outlive my lifetime. Seriously, the vintage perfumes I own are still smelling good for the most part, and last longer than most of the newer ones. Here’s to a Happy 2024 to everyone.

Olivia Giacobetti also created my first and so far favorite perfume, En Passante. I love it, and since it's not a strong perfume, I love to wear it when I crawl into a bed of clean linens after a shower!! Sorry TMI 😮 I will be ordering a sample of Passage D'enfer. Merci for another great show!

Thanks for watching. I absolutely adore En Passant and I've mentioned it many times on this channel.

Mr. P! Happy New Year!!! 🎉 Fabulous reviews, as always! 😀👏 Yes! I did rank your wonderful KZbin as my #1! We did our Top Ten on JJ’s show last night! (please forgive my lag & general off-kilteredness… there was a school shooting in our community last week, effecting many (my own close family was fine, but the education community is tight-knit). I’m rather out of sorts, still. Sorry I didn’t let you know myself. Hugs!

Rachel, it's incredibly kind of you to mention me -- thank you! But I am so, so sorry to read about what's happened in your community. That is beyond horrific. Words fail me. My very best thoughts and wishes go to you all.

@@Persolaise Thank you so much. There is a satirical newspaper that runs this headline every time a mass shooting happens in the US that pretty much covers it: 'No Way to Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens

I don't own that many incense perfumes, but my favorite so far is Samharam by Arte Profumi. My beef with Arabian perfumes is that they try to "Arabize" (if not dupe, and at times at hefty prices) big Western hitters - it doesn't always work to say the least. Not to say that they don't produce great fragrances though, but IMO they succeed at that when they remain true to the soul of Arabia without over-borrowing so to speak.

I remember the Montana fragrances and used to own both the feminine and masculine versions as back in the day there were no unisex perfumes even though mostly all of them could have been unisex but the term did not exist at the time.

Indeed Ojar Forgiven Outrage is a wonderful creamy sandalwood incense perfume. A question dear Persolaise. Did you ever make a video about Lush fragrances? I just purchased Vanillary and it's amazing and I love it. Received compliments from total strangers and at home. I also have Sun (smells like an over ripe orange on a bed of sandalwood. And their epic Karma (the patchouli fruity bomb). Greetings from Holland.🌟

Speaking about Ojar, I am not a fan of middle eastern brands, but totally in love with Ojar Wood Whisper. Very soft and inspiring to my nose, I got oil version.

Hi Mr P and everyone! New subscriber here. Love this channel and it's audience. Hope to catch a live soon. Mr P, would you consider sharing your favourite perfumes with a Tea note, specifically Earl grey tea. It's such an intoxicating, enveloping note. I imagine it's heavenly in perfumery. Thanks!

Hello!I am thinking of getting orpheline fron SL or passage d enfer .They both have insence.Which do you think is more interesting for a signature scent?
@Persolaise10 ай бұрын
That has to be a personal decision. They're not very similar to each other. Here's my review of the Lutens: persolaise.com/2014/06/persolaise-review-lorpheline-from-serge.html

Persolaise, please provide honest opinion on the very non-pretentious but seriously beautiful TOCCA’s Colette. Also, note, they have a hair and body oil mist which, as a base, prolongs the delicate scent of the perfume (when applied on top a moment later) for at least a day. Actually, their garden collection is quite nice.

Thanks for this. I'll see if I can get a sample.

I find a lot of cashmeran in the base of Pas ce soir extrait, almost flirting with oud territory. Wood jasmine I find the most interesting, although the name is misleading. Weird take on a classical lily, with lots of spices and dried fruits, above a nice amber.
