Le produit est intéressant mais la grosse batteries pourra convenir aux plus anxieux des acheteurs. Par contre ce qui fait gravement défaut dans la gamme c'est une électrique plus pragmatique, beaucoup moins cher, beaucoup moins de batteries (= moins de poids, moins de consommation, pas de taxe au poids, moins dangereux sur la route) puisque dans la réalité pratiquement personne n'a besoin de 700km d'autonomie, on peut réduire de moitié le nombre de batteries et énormément le poids pour offrir une sobriété nettement meilleure... j'espère que les gens de chez Stellantis comprennent que le véritable enjeu à venir pour l'électrique il est là, ne pas avoir des voitures qui charrient 1 tonne de batteries à rien, consomment trop et coûtent trop cher à l'achat en conséquent.

They are working on it. I do not agree that we do not need 700 km of autonomy. Remember that 700 km is in WLTP test cycle. Real life conditions will probably be less unfortunately etc. For example one of my uncles took my advice and bought a second hand Citroën C5 Tourer 2.0 Hdi (163 BHP), 6 speed manual gearbox (2012). Bought it back in February of 2017 with around 166.000 km. Now (beginning of August 2024 had around 354.000km). Average fuel consumption around 6L/100km. He said he could easily achieve 1200km on 1 tank (70L I believe but I would have to check) of diesel fuel. Magnificient car. Very reliable, safe, very well equipped (Exclusive trim as it should be) and a fantastic value for the money. Stellantis and the entire auto industry going electric would do well trying to get to that standard. Fast charging included (and by fast I mean about 1 minute, 2 tops), and ofcourse the longevity of the batteries (decades) combined with normal pricing etc. etc. There is much to be done. And as I have said before they are working on it. @@tyraela115 Having done plenty of roadtrips with EV rental cars, I can guarantee you that 700km (or even 500km if you account for the fact that WLTP is more generous than real life conditions) is pretty useless in practice, at least if you drive while respecting laws and what safety institutions recommends. In France road safety recommends to do a break every 2 hours or so when driving long trips to reduce the risk of accidents like falling asleep on the wheel, etc... in practice you will probably do a break for food, toilets, rest, etc... anyway. Charging a bit your car while you're doing one of those breaks doesn't take any extra time from, doesn't need any effort, and allow to operate the battery in a 20-80% range which is best for NMC batteries anyway, so yeah in practice thanks to those fast charging stations all over rest areas, doing a roadtrip on a 300-400km range EV is easy nowadays. That being said, if we can get battery chemistries with a higher energy density without needing to have a 2-3 tons cars then yeah why not, the more range, the better, but until then we probably should keep building reasonable EVs with a 400-500km range for a better price. About the e3008 itself, the reviews since this video came out are clear, it's too heavy for what it does, the rather useless gigantic battery is the consequence of that, as well as the fact that the car has a chassis designed for EVs and petrol engines which makes it bad and poorly optimized in both cases. Renault launched the Scenic since then, a pure EV that is on the same segment than then e3008 and is about 250Kg lighter which is pretty insane given that it has an excellent range too and has more space inside. Renault showed to Stellantis what building a good EV on a dedicated chassis was about and this e3008 will have a complicated life and rather small sales except if Peugeot slashes prices by a lot... So far the e3008 is not even in the top 10 of EV car sales for 2024 while the Scenic is. Add also that soon Tesla will renew their Model Y and it will probably be impossible to sell this e3008 at least at current prices. Stellantis did not do wise choices here.

This model has TRASH dimensions! Its WAY TOO SMALL !! I will stick to American cars. They are big and offer a LOT of space in the trunk.
