I don't know why exactly, but I would play mostly classical on the Petrof, but on the Bösendorfer I would play probably anything (except some classical stuff that benefits mostly from "clean" type of piano sound (for example: Steinway), for example: Bach fugues).

7:40 A lot of the slightly synthy/uncanny sound of Pianoteq can be improved by lowering the Condition slider a hair. Several of the models sound a little too idealized with the Condition set all the way to Mint, which unfortunately is where most of the presets are. Even sliding it over to 0.25-0.50 adds just that sheen of realistic imperfection.

This! The Condition slider is key! Just move it to 0.33, or even 0.5 or more for some presets, and they will definitely sound more real, because real pianos aren't perfect.

What version of the Pianoteq do you need to have this setting?

The Standard version has this, right? I'm looking to purchase this version but I want to make sure that it has the condition slider.

@@DavidBerglund Yes! Even the Stage version has it. It's immediately above the keyboard in the plugin's GUI.

Ant. Petrof is the most “interesting” and different sound of the bunch. Not sure if better, but it’s so different that makes it special to me.

@@rabbianibalmass when buying stage a few days ago I tried all packs extensively and landed on Kawai and Petrof. Petrof for the reason you mentioned. Between those two or a Steinberg and Petrof you get a lot of variety

How do you add a new model to Pianoteq 8? I've purchased a model, registered it on my user profile but it's still only in demo version in Pianoteq. I even tried to reinstall Pianoteq but that doesn't help
