My personnal thoughts is that if a character gets attacked and scratched, the insolence appears and asks if they want help, if they agree, means that they get the insolence eye and take over their body, if dont agree they get infected just like the other infecteds, pony wouldve have gotten infected if markus was infected, all the ppl like markus, delta.. had accepted his offer

Theory: The black hand in the end was a resemblance of the infection. TIO was actually trying to help Zizzy, but the infection broke into TIO's realm and took her, maybe because she took too long to decide. That's why TIO seemed a bit quick on his introductions and all. The friend TIO talked about was probably Friend from Chapter 7, the one behind that door that you have to knock on to release it. Maybe that's the resemblance of the infection I was talking about. It would make sense because of the black hand.

I have quite the long theory on this chapter. (I said this before on the Piggy Discord Server) My theory is that when TIO was talking about 'Her' he was referring to Zee (AKA Zizzy's sister that doesn't talk. The light-pink dressed one.) TIO thinks he can get Zee to work with him, and judging by Zee's lack of speech (and her spying on us at refinery) it worked. According to TIO, Zee: 1. Has some kind of connection to TIO 2. probably already knows about TIO's existence and just doesn't want to worry Zizzy 3. Has some kind of power that TIO wants. I mean, think about it. TIO didn't exactly lie. He had a point. The player IS immune, Zizzy IS a great fighter, Zee didn't talk AT ALL, and Pony DOES have problems he needs help with. Meaning that he didn't lie when he said (or implied) that Zee was special. But why? TIO reached out to those he thinks have either potential, or can be easily swayed to his direction. Pony can be pushed off the edge of sanity, the player and Zizzy both have potential. *There is a pattern on his choices.* Now we just need to know why would Zee be so special? What does Zee have that TIO wants? ^If we follow this, we can think of more possibilities. Maybe Zee has the same power as TIO and TIO wants to make Zee his apprentice. And like what a person said, Zee is quiet. TIO mentioned that he was quiet as well, and when he began to be more like his friend, his friend didn't like it. Why? I don't know. TIO sees himself in Zee, and wants to mould her to become just like him. So that means Zee will have a big role in the future of Piggy. Maybe the wanderer in piggy intercity IS Zee, who probably betrayed us and is running away. OR (if the wanderer in piggy intercity is indeed Zee,) she could've followed us to the refinery, saw Zizzy slowly getting infected, and ran away, back to the safe place. It could be that she returned to the safe place at night, saw Zizzy during the distraction chapter, overhead Zizzy's conversation (from only what Zizzy said) and got upset.

In the ship, the secret message was maybe foretelling the end cutscene of Distraction? Her hand. Gone. Like Dudeman wanted to make Zizzy one of this insolence but the hand appeared and yanked her back. If this is the case I think the arm that grabbed Zizzy was Shadow Penny. Which explains Her hand. Gone. Also what if Zizzy will never speak, actually is Zizzy will. Never speak.? Like Zizzy will but the rest of the message got cut off. Then never speak is referring to the younger zebra sister The insolence calls to you is pretty self explanatory Help me is someone under the effects of the Insolence who doesn't want to be or maybe Zizzy herself? Run is what Zizzy is doing to get away from all the _things_ in the map. And the Smile for Him could be about all the smiley characters in the chapter or even Dudeman himself I hope these makes sense.

My theory : As the refinery looked it was all in Zizzy’s head as when we came at the refinery it was all fine now as Georgie was seeing a dream that’s why the house was distorted but this wasn’t a dream so it’s all in her head and zee and zuzzy are with us at the north all across the sea so it also can’t be that they are infected and this can be why willow said That you destroyed our refinery and it was the home of many people so zizzy destroyed the refinery for the distraction and in the end cutscene the black arm was Mr Stitchy’s arm !!! My theory about TIO TIO was a quiet child and he made Mr.Skitchy because he felt alone. But he starded to be like him, and Mr.Skitchy fear that he will be more powerfull than him, so Mr.Skitchy kill TIO in a fire and he was forced to bring new people to the insolence. When Mr.Skitchy saw TIO and Zizzy talking, maybe he sees potencial to something that we don't know yet and grab her before she join to the insolence.

I have a theory but it's pretty bad. What if the hand is actually of Penny orthe Shadow Creature from Port. The arm of both of them are black and kinda look like that. Penny is a better guess tho cuz she is in Camp so I think she got telephoned there after taking care of Zizzy.
