hallo, how are you? i have the same bike, and i'm thinking to buy these exhaust from black widow because stock one are too much silent! LOL I would have preferred a better sound quality while riding but it's ok! Can i ask you something? Did you adjust carburetor after install these exhaust? and how is it going with cops? bye :)

The sound of the pipes is much better than in the video. The problem is the sound overpowers every mic I've tried as they are very loud, and brutal sounding. They are very loud. There is no problem with cops here as noise rules are different in different places. Here they are fine with my bike sounding like a WW2 plane. I didn't need to adjust the carbs but the pipes as there is just enough baffling in the pipes. It does move the power band to a higher rev range. So now I don't change to 5th until I hit 60mph, and the powerband carries me up to 85mph very quickly, then tapers off until I reach just over 100mph.

MotorBikeFu i think thats a good thing in my opinion because i have put 5th gear at 40mph more or less so its like i need one more gear. Regarding the site where to buy.. I found a blackwidowexhausts .co.uk... Its the right one? Because there is a .com one

I had exactly the same feeling of needing an extra gear before I changed my pipes. I got mine from the .co.uk site. It's teh same company as the .com site just forwards to the .co.uk site for me.

2 years later, and I was wondering how you feel about this mod after some use. I've read that some people need to adjust the carbs, and you didn't. Did you get any carb/other problems? Hope to read from you :)

Merijn de Vos I rode it for a year like that before selling it. Nothing needed changing on it in that time.

Hi could really use some advice with fitting this exhaust, I can't see how I am supposed to get any tool in to tighten the rear pipe lower manifold bolt as unlike the stock pipe the rear pipe completely covers the lower bolt, am I missing something?

I had real difficulty doing this myself. I found if I lifted and twisted the pipe at an angle I could tighten it in most of the way. I Basically fiddled it in place with much swearing. I'd assume there is a tool that's perfect for doing this, but whatever it is I didn't own it. The main tip is the pipe tightens by both bolts being tight against each other, as one has a sea-saw like effect off the other. So have the other very loose, pivot the pipe to an angle you can get at it, tighten it as much as you can, then put the pipe in the right place and tighten the other bolt until it is locked in place. I've had the pipes off twice and both times it has involves lots of swearing.

MotorBikeFu thanks a lot for the reply, I managed it in the end with an Allen key tightening a small turn at a time with much cursing, took ages

Maximumart you have to get at the bolt from the left side

I had the same problem big time. I ended up taking the manifold off the head then tighten up the exhaust on the manifold first. It’s a real pain trying to get any tool in the gap. I don’t think black widow even do a video for them as they are easy enough to fit but that awful bolt isn’t 🙄
