New piston and rings in Yamaha G1 Golf cart

my old cart just stop starting so after some checking I figured it must be very low compression so I got a piston and ring kit and put that in, something happened to the last part of the video so I will post a second part to this and we'll see if this helped.

no, it was a complete bust,, after ordering new parts it still didn't work right so I ended up putting a H/F 6.5 engine on it,, it runs faster but the down side is,, I don't have a reverse. @@altrades7921

We seem to always be cleaning out the fins on the outside of cylinders, must be an easy or quick way to do it. Great job on the new piston and rings. We have an old golf cart we use and they are cheap compared to anything else

yes. this is an old one, if I remember right, this is the second time I replaced the piston and rings, but this time I let way too much grime to build up and no doubt it over heated and took the temper out of the rings.

My issue I would clean everything , Plus a work bench and work area clean, but then when it was time to do the work; well I do not have your smarts and ability. In the end what I would have is a nice looking motor that does not run. I will take the dirty and running any day over my clean and dead motor.
