I was so busy in my garden this year that I neglected my house plants so badly, I just threw them out! Now that Fall is here, I'm going to start over and hope I do better next year. I'm trying to not be so hard on myself when life gets in the way.

I completely relate to this, don’t be hard on yourself. I too felt so guilty about it, but like you said life happens and sometimes we have to shift priorities. We will do better this year and moving forward. 🤗🥰

Yes, exactly! It was odd those Snake Plants thrived for as long as they did. 🤔

🖐🏻 me I’m that one that ignores my houseplants ! They get MUCH better care through the winter and they grow for me in the winter with grow lights. 🎃🍁💚🙃

Good morning Claudia and Sergey. Help me, water me... 😂 I keep all my houseplants outside year round. (Except my Orchids which are nontoxic) With Grandkids, Cats, and dogs and the toxicity of most plants it is just safer to me. I do have a Mother-in-Laws Tongue (also called a snake plant)which is about 3 ft high with pups growing around it. The name, Mother-in-law's tongue, refers to the pointed tips of the leaves, which symbolises the sharp tongue of the Mother-in-law! 😂 I also have that Jade along with other succulents. I like to use terracotta pots for all succulents and even the Mother-in-Laws Tongue. Our oldest daughter gave us a small cutting of the Swiss Cheese plant. Because of its vitality and resilience, the ZZ plant symbolizes growth, endurance, and long life (which is why it's nicknamed the “eternity plant”). It's also considered a lucky plant in many cultures, symbolizing fortune, prosperity, and stability. I love the white pots. I do like varigated plants too. 😊 Everything looks great. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊

Wow Jennifer you are a wealth of knowledge, I love this so much. I figured but didn’t want to assume the context between the snake plant and mother-in laws tongue lol! I love its hiss too; in fact my mom has a big collection of them back in Brazil, I’d like to get better with them. When we are visiting my family down there last year we went to the botanical garden and they had an orchid house which was absolutely breathtaking. I’m so excited about our new additions, and cannot wait to start bringing more plants to our collections. 🥰

Hi Claudia your plants are pretty ,I was wondering if you have ever run into pest on them inside your home such as whitefly or mealyworm 😊want to start getting into house plants but a little worried about inviting pest in thsnk you P.S I just recieved my sweet pea order from the the Farmhouse and purchased her book excited to get it in February thank you 🌹
@InTheGardenWithClaudiaАй бұрын
That is so exciting Darla!!! Are you planting your sweet peas out now? I’m also so excited for her book! 😍 Regarding the houseplants, I don’t have too many issues (knock on wood). The worst thing I’ve had to deal with is gnats, but Bonide has some good houseplant products that helps with these types of issues. One thing to keep in mind is when you buy new plants always check them before you bring them home so they look healthy. I also like to keep new plants apart from my plants for a couple of days just to make sure they aren’t being home and pests. 🥰

The quality of this video is great. The image is sharp and the garden looks beautiful. The quality of the one before was horrible and i couldn't watch it, sorry.
@InTheGardenWithClaudiaАй бұрын
Aww no worries! Always good to hear feedback! Sometimes I film with different cameras and of course it’s easier when you’re not running around the garden or into tight spaces. 😆
