Well I play since the open beta and I watched it. BAM! Jokes aside, it was a good video. Of course there are some tips and more in detail information that you could have provided, but making a long video filled with text aint the way either, so its good for starters. You could maybe do the same specifically for combat or going in depth on each raider.

Good video, Stray! New players, make sure to take advantage of the training mode so you can practice how you can escape the raider, or fight them with your characters. You always start practice mode at Area X, which has all items available from the start, so you can take advantage of the availability to practice using certain items. So here's an in-depth guide (I guess) of using them: --- Items: Barrier: Your character can take at least two hits before going down. The Barrier basically recharges your shield that is used if you get hit once by the raider. Rocket Launcher: Not good for doing damage to the raiders, but it's a very useful tool for setting up escape situations, given the rocket's large hitbox and small knockback, giving you a few seconds to think about your escape. Super Rocket Launcher: Better than the Regular, as you get to fire 3 rockets, one at a time. Like its regular counterpart, it's useful for keeping raiders away from the Super Time Machine if you want to buy a little more time to defend it. Vegeta's Gloves: Good at dealing damage to the raiders, if your character's change power cooldown is still charging. But like the Rocket Launcher it has a drawback, which is its small windups, and it only fires straight, so hope you practice your sniping. However at close range, you can lock-on to them, so you better hope the Raider doesn't get too close during your windup and isn't aiming his shots towards you. Cooldown Drink + Super Cooldown Drink: As the name suggests, they basically restore your change cooldown at certain percentages so that you can at least try to get in the fight a little sooner. The rate at which a Cooldown restores is dependent on your change level, while Super Cooldown Drinks restore a good amount of your charge. Senzu Beans: Useful for reviving teammates. Sure, you can revive yourself with it, but most of the time the raider will stick around to finish you, rendering you useless. Take Stray's advice into consideration at 11:25. Charge Power Cubes (Small, Large): Charges up your change power, its value differs based on the shape's size. Scouter: Useful only if you want to look for Civilians. They will break on use if you accidentally scan for the Raider's power level (lore accurate). Vehicles: Depending on a skin you equip (there are only 2 at the moment), you can spawn a vehicle that makes a bit of noise, but drives you slightly faster unless you have upgrades like Expert Driver: Speed Boost. (It's very fast with the upgrade, trust me.) Briefcase: Open them, and you'll have a chance of finding something unique, like a vending machine or a cooldown drink. Or even... Saiyan Pod/Attack Ball: Extremely rare. Only found in briefcases, but if you're being chased by the raider, consider yourself lucky. Upon riding, it shoots you up in the air and takes you to a different place of your own choosing. You only get a few seconds to pick your landing spot, but you can definitely knock the raider back temporarily if they're close to the ground. ----- Ki-Blast Shot Types: Depending on your character you choose for your Level Slots, you will get different ki-blast types that only work from a distance as a substitute for your Super so you have other options. Their ki-blast types vary by level, so it's important to know what ki-blast works at certain levels, since almost every character (+ transformation) in the game has different shot types. Regular Ki-Blast: Slow, but weak. Commonly found in units at level 1. One-handed Ki-wave: Does more damage and has more speedthan a regular ki-blast, but the casting time is the same. You can snipe with it. Two-handed Ki-Blasts: Better than regular ki-blasts. You can shoot them rapidly, like a machine gun if you spam with it. Can do decent damage to the raider if you can land them. Personally, Frieza's Ki-Blasts which are achievable at Level 2 are the best IMO. - Ki-Blast Barrage: Vegeta's Technique™! You fire ki-blasts rapidly that are weak, but they overpower two-handed ki-blasts that the raider may fire. Signature: Depends on the character you're using, you can activate their signature Super-Move beam attacks at certain levels as Ki-Blasts, and do good damage. I'll provide a few examples: - Kamehameha / Galick Gun: Like a beam, it has a small windup but it's fast and deals nice damage. Not recommended if you're being chased alone. -Kamehameha / Galick Gun (Super Saiyan): Damage, rate of fire, and beam speed is increased. Master Roshi/King Vegeta would be proud. - Disk: Krillin, 18, and Frieza are the only characters right now who can fire Disks at Levels 3. Unlike the other ki-blasts, they can actually track your opponents and are solid support blasts if you hate aiming. - Tri-Beam: Tien's Level 3 Ki-Blast attack. It fires fast, and has a good hit-box so that you can hit with it more effectively. Remember, Level 1 (won't contribute much depending on the character used), Level 2 ramps up to different shots, or even beams at level 3. ---- You will get washed by the raider. That's unavoidable, but that's what best represents the raiders. They're supposed to be strong like in the anime/manga, so what fun would the game be if you could easily wash them without a good strategy? You're not supposed to wash them without good effort. ---- Melee: An interesting melee mechanic that new players may want to know, is that if you engage in melee at different heights, like if you're hitting someone from above, you will knock them down. From below, you'll hit them upwards. Equal height, knock them forward. Teleporting is essential as it helps you to avoid your Raider's attacks (except for their barrages, they're hard too dodge.) You can even teleport behind the raiders (the height melees can apply) to cancel a raider's super attack if you time your teleport correctly! And most importantly, a successful teleport sets you up to fire them with a Super move with decent wind-up! IMPORTANT: If your change level is lower than the raiders, you won't be able to hit them and get Hercule kicked instead, damaging you. But you can bypass that rule if you hit them while they're in hitstun from a fellow teammate who's at a higher level! What's the useage? You can distract Raiders long enough for your teammates to hit them with a Super attack! The game is meant to be unfair early stage. You won't beat the raider unless you help out with the keys, get the time machine charging, and grow stronger with each level you progress from picking up Change Power. Don't forget you're an Earthling literally up against the likes of Frieza, Cell, Buu, and Saiyan Saga Vegeta. Rely on your teamwork and escape strategies so that you can win! It's not a game like Xenoverse (despite it reusing assets) or Budokai, it's a completely different game and that's why I love it.

exactly. it's not a good fighting action game that everyone would expect out of almost every dragon ball game, but the fact it's different and has a unique gameplay system that varies between survivor and raider, that makes it enjoyable for me. Those big youtubers are ruining it for the players, but that's unfair for the majority like us who like playing the game not because it's different but its different value.

Its because the game wasn't marketed or designed with them in mind, they wanted it to look like xenoverse 2 but play like Friday the 13th with flying and super powers instead of axes and cars, if they would have marketed it and designed it as a gritty dark version of the dbz universe where the killers are super powered psychos it would've had a better reception guaranteed, but for 20$ its still good, fortunately I got it free for the monthly.

Emergency Escape Device is a very useful skill, in case you get caught in a location the Raider is going to blow up and you can't make it in time.

Yea, it was a must run for me. Then I got sprint and adventure enthusiast. So I’m running those with power charge so I can loot faster. 4 slot moves around between a lot of other passives

A fun game unless the raider picks Broly and it results in you having barely 10 seconds of gameplay. Especially if you're still new to the game. I wish they had an offline player vs bots mode so you can play without the randomness of what level players you'll get.

Yeah, agreed. Like there are some skills that are almost invaluable. Change Missile is a VERY useful skill. It's fast and can turn pretty quickly. It also outflies the Raider leaving them to fire ki blasts to try and hit you. If it hits, yes, you drop the missile change and are vulnerable. But with practice you can use it to escape the Raider in most cases. Personally, if you have Bulma, master Charming Pose so you can use it without having to be her. This stuns the Raider and can make for a good getaway unless they use an evasive after you use it on them. Krillin's Shoe is ALSO a really good skill, it stuns them and prevents them from being able to lock on for a bit which can help with a getaway as well. Camouflage is a case-by-case basis. If they look at your camouflaged form for too long, they lock on which gives you away. Ki Sense from Buu or Cell also can give you away. However, Raiders tend not to stare at objects. Your biggest worry would be them stepping in and blowing up all objects in the room in case of someone using Camouflage, but again this isn't done all too often either. Anyway, skills you equip or transpheres you use are going to be based on YOU, like, how your playstyle is. If you're a melee fighter, you want to go for transpheres that have melee supers or skills. Ranged Fighter? Go for transpheres with Ki Supers or ranged skills. Feel like you should avoid the Raider at all costs and just set keys? Find support skills or transpheres with support skills. End of the day, there's no definitive beginner's guide. Since it's down to how your playstyle is. However, starting out I would say try and stay balanced. Have like 1 or 2 stun skills, a support skill and a mobility skill (such as Change Missile or the Motorbike skill.) until you get a feel for how your playstyle is. For passives? ALWAYS have the grappling hook, it's invaluable and can easily get you outta dodge. The next I'd recommend for starting out is the Emergency Transformation Device, which will transform you into your Dragon Change the second something hits you, if you have a Dragon Change fully charged and ready to go. For your other two passives? Try and go for something that will lend aid to one of your active skills and then something for further support.

Nice good tips, I avoided this for a while been playing for 2 weeks. I think it is a perfectly fun game to play. Don´t care when I lose or win. But when I am lv 16 and the others 150 then I feel like I should just try to get a few things. I did´t get spirit tickets to buy 10 until lv14 I know there are 3 ways to pay. I got enought to by and wow I got some nice once, Whizz sure he did´t seem to have the best super but I will have fun playing with his powers. Now when it comes to skills I ignored the ones you bought and toke those you said was´t good haha OBS XD Well I had played for awhile and I have´t seen anyone use the traps so I assumed they might been nerfed recentley. But now I might get one and see how I do. Playing on PC so far everyone have been nice players, only one time did we goof of but it seemed everyone was in on it a Vegeta player showed he was´t gonna kill us so everyone started doing the Ginuy pose, we later escaped with the time machine but oh well. Now playing as raider is hard in the begining. But I somehow almost won as Cell against palyers on lv 150 I fought super well beat thier Dragonball wished character, they managed to distract me and use the super time machine when they were only 1 survivor left.
