@@AidanRatnage The difference is that Charizard is a naturally occurring Pokemon, so having two mega stones isn't too far fetched. However, Mewtwo was literally made by people in a lab, people who didn't know about, or at least didn't understand mega evolution. It would make sense if the stones also worked with Mew, but they don't.

You know... sometimes I feel like fan designs are a bad thing, because if they get popular in the fandom, then it potentially limits similar designs from being used without potentially causing weird legal issues like people shouting "They stole this fan design without credit!" even if they could probably do so if they wanted AND that its possible for two people to independently come up with similar ideas... Just imagine the rage if they, for example, do a Dragon-type Eevee evolution and it happens to look like 90% similar to a fan design... Will people just say "Oh, its just a coincidence." or will they shout "THEY STOLE THAT DESIGN!" I like the idea of an 'A' Pokemon and enjoy the idea of an chaos bound Pokemon to counter Zygarde's order. However since they're all based on the creatures of the world tree Yggdrasil Xerneas being Dainn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Durathror as the four stags at the centre of the tree Yveltal being Hraesvelgr the Eagle who watches from atop the tree and Zygarde being based on Nidhogg the wyrm eating at the roots of the tree. There is but one creature left out with that being the Squirrel Ratatoskr who spends every day running up and down the tree sending messages between Hraesvelgr and Nidhogg. I could see the 'A' Pokemon being based on this squirrel that messed with the order by inciting Xerneas and Yveltal to rebel and cause chaos against Zygarde which led to Zygarde's sealing of the trio with it using so much energy that it split itself into all it's cells only recuperating into the 50% form by the time we see it in X&Y. Lysandre only finding one of the three sealed Pokemon in X&Y proper being either Xerneas or Yveltal and perhaps the 'A' Pokemon was sealed and had it's sealing place built over by those of the past to prevent this rebel getting out ever again? Say for catching it is the Post Game stuff similar to Arceus someone tries to and succeeds in freeing the rebellious pokemon to control but like how it was with Lysandre when he awakened the sealed Xerneas and Yveltal it is but a shell of it's original prowess and we catch it to prevent it from ever fully reforming with the absence of Zygarde to now reseal it.

To add to the argumentation for Pokémon A being based on Ratatoskr: Ratatoskr didn't just send messages between Hraesvelgr and Nidhogg. He was most often sending insults between the two and that just for shits and giggles. So there already is precedent for Ratatoskr being a little chaos gremlin who likes to mess with Nidhogg. If Pokémon A is supposed to be the chaos that opposes, Zygarde's order, it would make sense for it to be based on Ratatoskr just from a mythology perspective.

I personally don’t see Xerneus or Yveltal getting new forms. Rather I see Zygarde getting two new forms where he gets fused with one of them. Lore wise Zygarde is the enforcer of balance between life and death in nature. So when that balance is upset he could seek out either Xerneus or Yvaltal and fuse with them to help the balance. And game freak seems to have a thing for fusing legendaries and I feel like they would have had the Auro Trio fuse if Z version ever happened

Ratatoskr is the only animal on Yggdrasil not represented yet and it is already known to love to stir shit up, specifically by ferrying insulting messages between the eagle (Yveltal) atop Yggdrasil and the dragon at the roots (Zygarde 50%). Having a Pokémon based on Ratatoskr to be the chaos in opposition to Zygarde's order would be a good fit.

Here’s my theory: This game will involve time traveling. When it transitions from someone sketching pikachu to the animation of pikachu running in a futuristic city, it shows some quasar symbol right before it fully transitions. A quasar is a super massive black hole and I’m guessing when the ultimate weapon was fired, it made a black hole where the trainer can hop in and out throughout the game. Potentially jump from 3000 years in the past to the war to 3000 years after the war when everything were “better.” Team Flare is trying to steal the weapon from the past to use it in their present. Zygard plays a roll bc it’s also tryna stop team flare but half its cells are in the past and the half in the present and need to gather all of them. The Zygard cube will be prob play a HUGE part bc it’s part of the special research to catch Zygard in X and Y is called “From A to Zygard” and this game is called Pokémon Legends: ZA. That’s when we will also meet the guy AZ in the past along with his younger brother. I think they’ll also mention how mega evolutions were also made from the quasar. If you look up quasar, it “…releases energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. The radiant energy of quasars is enormous;” Basically reminds me of the atomic bomb that happened in 1945 and how the radiation mutated animals. So the electromagnetic radiation from the quasar, Zygard (protector of the ecosystem) wanted to protect the people and Pokémon so it used its 100% form to absorb the radiation after the ultimate weapon was used and bc the radiation was so strong, it broke into different cells and scattered throughout the region. Bc Zygard absorbed the radiation, it prob “mutated” Pokémon and gave them mega evolutions when it went around the region as cells when it was near them. Zygard becomes 100% only when the ecosystem is in danger (Team flare tryna get the ultimate weapon again and wants to use it in the present). I’m prob like 99.99% wrong but damn this would be a banger of a story lol

We had that same problem with Porygon in Legends: Arceus and yet, it’s still there. Space Time distortions. Hoopa could come into play, it can make portals to anywhere and any-when. Mewtwo being artificial is not a problem.

The Kalos legendaries are based on the tree of Yggdrasil in Norse myth. Xerneas is the tree and deer that herd around the tree. This represents life. Yveltal is the bird that roosts in the tree and a giant that can shape-shift into a bird. Hraesvelgr is the name and it translates to corpse swallower which fits the theme of death. Zygarde is the snake that circles the bottom of the tree. It's based on Nidhogg which is the serpent that lives at the bottom of the tree and Lokis 3 children which are it's 3 forms. There's only 1 being missing from the equation. There's a squirrel that lives in the tree. It carries messages to and from the inhabitants. That's going to be the new legendary.

Potential Name for new potential legendary: Arkquaza (Ark meaning first) Potential Pokédex entry: A primordial ancestor of Rayquaza, this ancient being seeks out the core of the earth. As a nemesis to Zygarde, the protector of the earth and of order, and due to the intense heat of the core of the Earth, this Pokémon is doomed to failure. (Or something along those lines) Notes: I thought it could be interesting to make this pokemon try to go to the one place rayquaza cannot go. (Rayquaza goes up into space, Arkquaza goes down into the earth)

To be honest since Zygarde, Xerneas and Yveltal are the Yggdrasil trio. Zygarde is Nidhogg, Xerneas are the stags, and Yveltal are the birds. We're clearly missing Ratatoskr, the squirrel in this Yggdrasil group of Legendaries. Ratatoskr exchanges messages between Nidhogg, Zygarde and the bird, Yveltal. I think Ratatoskr will inspire the "A" Legendary Pokemon, and it'd be more squirrel like.

I don't think Charizard needs anymore love after getting a Gigantamax form, but Mewtwo definitely needs a tune up. It is completely outclassed by Shadow Rider Calyrex and that just doesn't sit right with me. So here's what I propose for Mewtwo Z stat and ability wise: Type: Psychic/Dark Hp: 106 A: 90 D:110 Sa: 204 Sd:110 S: 160 Ability: Denizen of Darkness - Allows Mewtwo to hit Dark type pokemon with Psychic type moves.

Xerneas and Yveltal are found in XY in a dormant state and undergo the mega evolution animation to reach their active forms. This would imply that their active form is their mega evolution, that they do so under their own power, and don't revert as regularly as other pokemon. Due to this I'd say they are off the table for further mega forms.
