you didn't notice the "the stars have no effect on rating." The stars is how rare the pose is. To fully fill out your pokedex, from what I read on reviews, you need to find all 4 stars for every pokemon! They added a LOT more replay value to this one.

Just in case you weren’t aware, the number of stars has nothing to do with how good the shot is, there are specific poses you need to capture to get the additional stars. The color of the stars: bronze, silver, gold, or platinum is indicative of how good the picture is. For 100% completion you will need platinum stars for 1 star, 2 star, 3 star, and 4 star for every single Pokémon. Hope this all helps!

I dont think anybody would be giving it crap if it actually was a wii game, but its a switch. Hell, look at Monster Hunter Rise. Switch game, looks STUNNING by comparison and it has a lot of action as opposed to static, generic movements. What Payton said is accurate, they dont care. They know they can release total gak and it sells anyway so why put the ffort.

It's gonna be a lot of fun to play this myself while also watching Scykoh play! 5:04 I mean, he's flaunting his tail, so you can clearly see that it's a male Pikachu. 5:28 Okay, now it's actually getting weird. 8:14 The number of stars is a completely different thing, but them being bronze, silver or gold (maybe even platinum?) is related to the score. 8:45 It was called ZERO-ONE, which is why this one is called NEO-ONE! 10:25 I think I didn't even see Emolga when I played, I'll have to remember it for later. 10:29 Didn't expect a Bidoof counter, nice! 10:52 Another thing I missed, this one maybe even more important than the Emolga. 13:02 I didn't take a picture of Floges because I got distracted by the Comfeys! At least I got the 2 stars one for them. 13:05 It really is that pretty, I can't wait to play and see more of this game! I really hope that Bandai Namco will work on some other Pokémon games in the future. 16:17 So there is a higher rank than gold, but it's diamond, not platinum! 17:27 I'll try to get at least all the different stars for each pokémon and then maybe I'll try to get all diamonds.

Let me explain stars and points. Points are clear, you see on what they judge the picture and the star goes from bronze up to diamond depending on the points. The amount af stars is the pose of the pokemon. A generic pose will almost always be 1 star. How good the picture you took is does not matter. You can have a 1 star diamond with 5000 points and a 4 star bronze with 1000 points.

Something I've seen literally _everyone_ get wrong, but the _number_ of stars is not tied to the quality of your shot. Rather, it's a marker of how rare an action is that they're taking. Because of this, the game can and does task you to get great shots of ALL FOUR STAR CATEGORIES per Pokemon. As for the general definition of "great", the stars will go from Bronze to Diamond. You get a Diamond rank, you've mastered that one specific pose, and have no completionist reason to keep submitting photos of that action.

Seems like the only things with any level of depth in this game are the behavior of the Pokémon, which is why this game is able to look so good while other Pokémon games are not visually impressive.
