I once had all Polk, before I downsized then to tiny JBL fronts and precision acoustics surrounds, albeit couldn't give up Polk sub. But part of me thinks they're trying too hard to remain relevant and trendy.

AWESOME! It must be sooooo much fun testing speakers and gear. Your efforts are paying off and it shows with manufacturers sending you gear. Keep it up! This is obviously a pro speaker set and it is power hungry at 4 ohms each. Pretty cool. Gotta get me a beefy amp and some pro speakers someday.

I think i will be upgrading my speakers soon, I was fortunate enough I found a rich dude throwing away a whole set of Polk Speakers(total system), and asked him if there was anyhting wrong with them and he said no, just upgrading ..so i asked him I could take him...and I have been using them for about 5 years and was impressed by them, these looks like something I can afford!

they sound great have the r700, paired with lSiM center channel 706c, with marantz 6015. im so impressed going to get the r200(or r100 space issues want the r200) and r900 atmos speakers.... sound is crystal clear no distortion was amazed. went to local dealer and he was like listen to these r700 speakers bought them on the spot. sound is amazing, replaced one year old speakers yea they were new i was that impressed.

@@theheadsn I'm kind of partial to my Polks, my uncle used to work at polk and that's all I've had besides some pioneer and technics box speakers and one Sony surround sound/DVD player all in one deal i had in a 1br apt long time ago lol. I agree though they get overlooked, I'm upgrading one bit at a time, I'm running tsi200s in my 2ch setup, monitor 70s L&R cs10 center and fluance sxbp2 bipole for surround speakers, surround is now going to be lsim 702fx. I saw the reserve a few weeks ago apparently Crutchfield had posted them before they were released then deleted it, legend series but made more affordable haha that's my kinda more in my price range

Hey Techno Dad . How many ohms is the Center chan ? I have the Reserve 200s and love them. Is the center 4 ohm too ? I forget. Polk gave me a 20% discount because they canceled my order. I bought the R 200s for less than the R 100s. Polk customer service was really cool to me. Or was it Sound united 🤔

I too had a Polk Center and Polk bookshelf I used as surrounds. It was my first system. I had JBL fronts and it was hard to match, but then again, this was back in '93

Maybe someone can help me understand something here, I saw a video with the R900s on top of R200s and they looked a good inch smaller than the 200s. The R500s in this video have larger LxW dimensions yet the R900s are sitting flush. How's that possible?
