I’m excited to bring this new technique to the polymer clay world! Loving this effect!
Props to the nail community for the inspiration!
Create your own one of a kind Jewelry pieces and other polymer clay items with this amazing effect.
TIP: The more you shake the container, the smaller the bubbles will get. You can control the size of the bubbles.
If you choose to create a set of acrylic nails, finish with a clear UV Gel Top Coat and you’re all set!
I hope you enjoy!

OMG! Really?! Dish soap? Who comes up with that? I'm speechless! I have watched hundreds of polymer clay videos over the last 10 years, but this by far is the most incredibly mind blowing and beautifully creative thing I have seen. I think it would be just as beautiful without the colors, just resin for a subtle, elegant effect. Thank you! If I could give you a thousand thumbs up I would!! Wow.

Top coat it with clear nail polish maybe in lieu of the resin. It's hard to get nail polish off these days. Lol

I agree! I love the effect. Now she had black clay maybe some white (different shades) and then the resin. I am thinking it would give a look of elegance!

Hi again Alison- I know I already commented under this video but now that I have finally tried the technique out I feel like I should share a few things I noticed. First though let me say again that I absolutely LOVE this! I think your pieces look so cool & beautiful that this is 1 of my very favorite tutorials/projects right now, thank you so much for sharing! So a few things I wanted to mention- I was at 1st upset thinking that I couldn't yet try making these bc I don't have black UV gel polish, only clear. And I'm sure others in my position have already figured this out but just for the sake of mentioning it anyway, you can just use a sheet of black clay & use your clear gel instead of black. In all honesty, it took me a few days before coming to that conclusion.. duhh! And on my 1st attempts at this I was having some trouble- the bubbles would be great on like 85% of the piece but there wouldn't be any bubbles on the remaining 15. I would do as you said, add more gel polish, more bubbles, uv light, etc, but it was only helping a little bit in some areas while others just would not keep the bubble texture whatsoever. So after some more playing around, I realized that the bubble effect seemed to work great in the areas where I was pretty stingy w/ my gel polish. And the spaces that wouldn't hold the bubbles at all seemed to have a thicker layer of gel. So it may be different for everyone else, but that's what I noticed. Also, I realized that if you put a very thin layer of gel polish on you get a slightly different look. You of course need enough in your layer to completely cover your piece, but i made the layers as thin as possible without causing empty spots. And 1 good thing about doing that is that the bubble texture shows up on the entire piece without any gaps every time, for me anyway. But the bubble texture is finer, more subtle & subdued than if your gel polish wasnt so thin. I love how they come out when you do that, so pretty. And lastly, I think- for those of you who do not have the Lumiere Halo paints, I have a suggestion that costs less then $4 a bottle- FolkArt Color Shift paints, believe it or not! ESPECIALLY the newer colors, or at least I think they are new since I only recently saw them for the 1st time. The original colors are nice but I'm not such a huge fan. But pretty recently I saw a few new ones at Walmart of all places & they actually looked really cool. So I got them & just used them on this bubble project & holy crap, they look amazing! Just in case anyone out there has stuck with this insanely long comment till now & are in fact interested at all, I'll tell you which ones specifically I've fallen in love with. Blue Flash, Plum Flash, Emerald Flash (those 3 colors look incredible when used together), Blue Violet Flash, Raspberry Flash & Dragon Flash. The blue flash shifts so beautifully from blue to purple but all the other colors I just mentioned have such a gorgeous golden undertone. I have the Lumiere halo paints & I think they're really pretty but I'm so glad I decided to try out the new color shifts also. While the Halo paints are certainly beautiful, they are on the expensive side & are pretty difficult to find at craft stores, while the color shifts are under $4 a bottle, are available at every craft store I've been in- not to mention freakin Walmart!- and I'm telling you, they look even better than the Lumiere paints. Well, that's my opinion at least. I wrote this hoping to maybe help someone out there but have to assume that no one bothered reading this whole thing. Oh well, maybe someday, I'll leave it just in case😁

I'm so sorry, last thing just in case this matters to anyone- when you use a very thin layer of your gel polish & you end up (hopefully) getting a perfect & beautiful bubble texture across your whole piece, you will find that you barely have any of those scraggly little hair/fur like pieces on the top. I actually havent had any at all since I started using a really thin layer of gel and so once it's all cured the only cleanup I have to deal with is sanding/filling the edges, unless I did it before baking the clay. So no need to file the tops of the bubbles!
