@@Locomotor1979 problems of being a content creator. You can dualtask by playing ang talking at the same time but you can forget what was happening and end up getting confused as to why it happend. In this case, his platform accidently enlarged it with his tech pistol

The windmills don’t need to be fully out of the water, only the blades do. Also I recommend the Improved Power Network mod and the Cyclops Docking Module once you get a cyclops, it’s really helpful for building a base in the Inactive Lava Chamber (Outside of the castle) because it charges the Sub. EDIT: Well I feel dumb I commented this before the 8 minute mark. But still get the cyclops docking mod. Also auto craft works with building tool, meaning you can build a windmill without crafting the parts. Also windmills start at 50% when placed. And the foundations don’t line up because of snap builder. You can change power network range in settings, base is 400 for blue, 15 for green. Also another fun mod to use is the Habitat Platform. Another thing. If you really want an Ex-Storage inside your base what I did, I dont know if this was a bit over the top, but I went into the Subnautica files, went to Ex-Storage, opened config and in there there’s something that says allow in base. Change that to true and you’re set. This can also be used to change its max storage. Also you can do this to the auto sort lockers to allow easy craft with them

Your wind turbines were turning when built based on the direction you were facing when placing them. So if you face the same direction when placing them, you are good to go.

Considering the fact this reminds me a lot of AE2 for modded Minecraft, this is very much likely the case. Plus, it just makes sense, it's a storage module made to store, nothing said it automatically sends items afaik. Basically it's like a hopper, it pulls items from nearby inventories and stores it.

There are some thermal vents not far from the Safe Shallows. You could build a large number of thermal plants there. They require no maintenance and generate a lot of power.

On the Nexus page for the Ex Storage Solutions mod, the developer says the next update will include compatibility with Data Storage Solutions. EDIT: Also, if I remember correctly, you've got the Power Storage mod installed. You could set up a solar + battery farm so you don't have to worry about turbine maintenance.

Ya know, I played subnautica for a bit, which is to say that the very moment a Reaper Leviathan attacked and ate my face, my game playing was DONE. Scared me almost to death. But I really do enjoy watching these episodes. I only wish they were all numbered from start to finish. Because I see episode 1 then 2, then it shows a different game all together. Then I see a different subnautica game, then some game with "pinkles". Do confusing :-(

One thing I wish the mods would allow is an integrated power network. So instead of having 10 Solar Panels (total energy capacity 750), and a Bioreactor (capacity 500), where the solar panels only charge the base up to 750 power, the Solar panels can charge the base up to 1250 power. Some people might use this and build an empty Nuclear Reactor to store 2500 power from the Solar Panels (or other power source)

Subnautica on Nintendo switch is completely full of bugs dont buy it. Below zero still working after 60 hrs game play with occasional freeze up. I save before when stacked with resources

You should look at your options > Mods every once in a while. The power network mod has variable distances for the main lines and the other lines. I think the main is default around 400 but the other connections for machines is only 15 meters so you practically have to have the relay on top of the drill to work unless you increase it. I set mine to 30. Also, I agree that automated turrets would be awesome! I would totally abuse them and build mini-bases of platforms with auto-turrets and generators all along the lost river and lava zones to keep it clear of annoying leviathans and warpers, lol.

If I was to make a powe plant it would be with the mod that improve ACU and automatically feeds bioreactors. Could double the ACU as an elevator. Sadly FCS mods can't be installed atm. Also there is a mod that will tell you the power usage of a base.
