New PowMr 60A mppt charge controller, any difference from the old?

got my order in from banggood! a new pow mr 60 a mppt charge controller.
I thought my current one was a 40a and hoped to compare the difference.
turns out my original was a 40a all along...
well the logo on the front is different so lets have a look inside.

id be weary of the powmr controller's now. the new firmware seems to be worse than the old. look for the 60a easun instead

I have 3 of PowMr MPPT 60A SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLER ON A 3,840 ah 50,880 wa 13.25 battery and 1 PowMr MPPT charge controller 960 ah 25,440 wa 26.50 v for the last 4 years working great 👍 and my battery is a lifemnpo4

Hello. Voltage at Maximum Power (Vmpp)= 34.5 V Current at Maximum Power (Impp)= 9.59 A Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) = 40.2 V Short Circuit Current (Isc) = 10.1 A I have 2 monocrystalline solar panels worth 330W... How can you connect these 2 panels to this MPPT 60A solar controller? With serial connection or parallel connection? Because I looked at the device information, it is 12Volt. It says that the highest 80Volt input can be connected for the battery (VOC). (my 12.8v 200Ah I have a LiFePO4 battery) So should I use it only with parallel connection? I was confused and wanted to get precise information... Thanks.

Figure 20 amps for each inductor so the 40 amp unit would have 2 inductors and the the 20 amp unit 1 inductor. That's the obvious difference. There would also be a different number of MOSFETs and diodes. I have the 60 amp PowMr and 60 and 20 amp MakeSkyBlue units for making comparisons.

look for the easun controller, it also uses the same casing ..so far its bee much better than the pow mr's i have

Do1 is floating voltage 13.8 should be fine Do2 is absorption voltage 14.4 or 14.5 will be fine Do3 is just the low voltage cutoff if you use the load output terminals on the charge controller. I don't use them but 10 to 11volts depending on what the max discharge voltage is on your batteries. If your running a power inverter it should cut off itself before over discharging your batteries

Is it possible to tune this Solarcharger? It doesn´t charge my 24V Lifepo4. I connected 2 JaSolar in parallel and 35,2 V are obviosly not enough to start MPPT. Connecting the PV-modules in serial works. Any idea?

Got 1300w of solar 90+V at 10-15a going to 12v lithium battery via powmr 60a controller. Puts 50-55a to battery which equates 660w actual. These are measured not read from the screen. The displayed numbers are not accurate. I like it because it does what i need it to. Take my 10-15a imput from array and takes up to 40-55a to the battery on a clear day. one thing i noticed is that if i put the 2 650w panels in parallel i do not get the amps out. They like high voltage input to convert.

Hello again, I have a panel of 310 w, Luxor brand, and powmr 60 A. On a sunny day I only get 9 watts up to 22 watts, the voltage is at 38.7 V. What can be the problem of low watts? all new installation.

it would be worth connecting up a ammeter to the pannel and shorting the output wires. see if the pannel is actually producing useable power. should be getting 7-9A in short circuit condition

Alot of people used to say that. I cant even buy a make sky blue anymore. thing is the metal casing is an off the shelf part. EA sun also use the same casing. none are fake, they all use the same housing.

@@jamesbrokentech yea but st least for the PowMr vs MakeSkyBlue they say and some people on youtube showed that the version number ob the pcb is always higher on the makeskyblue devices, also on their websites makeskyblue is always a month quicker than powmr. I've seen the easun devices on aliexpress but in the solar area they are barely mentioned🤷‍♂️ I am planning to buy the 60A makeskyblue one, I will share my experiences when its times
