My only complaint (and I'm not sure when this was produced) is they mention proto-mammals, or "reptile-like mammals" were relatives of the reptile family. This is not true, our ancestors and reptile ancestors split early on into synapsids and diapsids, with the diapsids going on to become mammals and the synapsids reptiles like lizards, dinos, and their last remaining survivors, the birds.

The video is mistaken, yes--but actually it was sauropsids (diapsids) from which all reptiles descended; synapsids are the ancestors of mammals.

Well they made the distinction 5:40 of "reptile like mammals" rather than "mammal like reptiles" which is true. They are not calling them reptiles.

@@denizen9998 Yes--I see what you mean. But the mistake, which seems to be widespread on KZbin, is that stem or proto-mammals and proto-reptiles resembled each-other. Maybe that's justified in the most shallow, visual sense. But it's incorrect and misleading if we're aiming for objective taxonomy. The ancestral lines of reptiles and mammals both descended from the amniotes, shortly after amniotes evolved from early amphibians. It must have been an amazingly generative time for speciation, so it's extra important for us to honor the details as they get more granular since they illuminate previously dark ages and blind corners of early tetrapod history. Once the amniotes diverged from the water-dependent egg-layers, and then split again, they immediately formed the three great lineages of air-breathing, earth-traversing creatures that reign today: 1) the metamorphic amphibians, 2) the synapsid~mammalians and 3) the sauropsid~reptilians.

I also believe in evolution we have the proof that dinosaurs lived we have their bones, pre-historic man lived we have their bones as well. What makes you think God didn't create dinosaurs before he created man? That is very arrogant thinking, we have the proof that you are WRONG! Also, who do you think you are?
