The great thing to see here is how you guys support your work and interested customers so much in these videos . Thoughly explaining attachments and new inventions as you release them for sale .I am looking at getting a BlueRov2 and to be honest i was confused because there are so many different companies and models out there .But when i see this level of education and experience it welcomes you in it gives me peace of mind ,the products look fantastic well done from Australia

very cool. 1. What is the ultimate crush force and is it adjustable? You can assume I'd replace the plastic jaws with aluminum. 2. Note on the failsafe below: make it an option that can be disabled. I can see a need to grab something and hang on even though the battery has depleted.

Looks good do you by chance have a 2 to 4 ft foldable arm Extension for the rov and does it rotate so u can use to pick up In various directions

What is the failsafe state for the grabber? If you were to lose power for some reason whilst gripped onto something, will the jaws open to allow recovery of the dead ROV?
@BlueRobotics
@BlueRobotics 6 жыл бұрын
Kevin - there's no failsafe mode on the gripper at the moment so if power is lost, it will stay in whatever state it was in. We're considering adding a failsafe to open when power is lost.

G’day guys, that is just fantastic. Three quick questions. 1. Now that you have gotten that far, have you any intention of having a rotation function along the shaft axis like other serious ROV’s out there? 2. Are changeable gripper head options something doable with your design? 3. If I mounted two grippers onto the ROV heavy, (or other devices) is there enough electrical throughput in the existing tether to handle it or would a new bigger tether be required. Thanks for your time. Amazing machine!

Thanks, glad you like the gripper! 1. A rotation function is on our development list, but it is not an active project right now. We have some other stuff to knock out before we go back to a gripper redesign ;) 2. We don't have other gripper heads right now, but we'll be uploading the models and drawings shortly so the community can make their own tooling options with the linear actuator that is there. 3. Yes, you can mount multiple grippers with the open servo outputs, it isn't dependent on wires in the tether. You'll have to get creative with button assignment, but the functionality is there.

@@kevinklemens4557 HI Kevin great machine. Is it possible to put a pouch where you can store your samples grabbed by the gripper? example action cameras, celphones, wallet, watches, etc? i mean a simple bag attach will do. have you consider putting that to the ROV?
@kevinklemens4557
@kevinklemens4557 5 жыл бұрын
@@KaraokePubmain Thanks! We haven't mounted a pouch or basket on any of the ROVs we use for engineering testing. I know that a basket is pretty common for larger Work Class ROVs. This might be a bit difficult with a single function manipulator that can only open and close.

What type of motors are used in this ROV?
@BlueRobotics
@BlueRobotics 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Naman, the ROV uses T200 Thrusters: bluerobotics.com/store/thrusters/t100-t200-thrusters/t200-thruster/

Hey Guys whats the chance of a wrist feature?
@BlueRobotics
@BlueRobotics 6 жыл бұрын
Hi, we're not working on that feature right now but perhaps in the future! At the moment you can manually rotate it to choose orientation before the dive, but not during the dive.
