My nephew had migraines once in a blue moon and they finally saw the connection with a growth spurt! As he's gotten older (16 now) they've pretty much gone away. Also he's not growing as often.

Yup some people think it’s related to hormones and they’re more common during adolescence. My first was when I was 11. I had more then until around high school.

Mom of 4 girls, 21, 18, 12 & 10. I would say it completely depends on the person. The 21 & 10 year old likes to help prep food and clean. The other two prefer to actually cook. They took a baking class together a couple years ago (virtual during Covid) and they loved it. So they bake treats for us all the time. The 21 yo loves being home and plans to stay through grad school. The 18 yo, It's senior year and she's always super busy! I have ALWAYS made it a point to have no device dinners at the table, every night (when time allows) and show up to all events and school games together. It's truly because of the age gaps, I wanted to be sure they support each other, remained close and have a bond as siblings. ❤

Try the hot water method. According to Dr. Kunal Sood, an interventional pain doctor in Maryland, “Soaking your feet in hot water causes the blood vessels in your feet to dilate by pulling away the blood from your head. It eases the pressure on the blood vessels, causing migraines and decreasing your pain. Hope this helps! ☺️
@rachaeltrujillo99609 ай бұрын
Yea soak feet in a tub of hot water while leaning forward with an ice pack at the base of your neck. Peppermint oil inhaled or a small bit on the temples can be very soothing for migraines also.

Love your channel and appreciate how open you are with the ups and downs of life 💜 I started having migraines as a young kiddo and still have them as an adult. I think we are in the same area so just wanted to suggest connecting with neurology as Nemours if you haven’t found one that feels like the right fit just yet. I was treated there as a kid and now work there as an adult and still remember how patient and committed my neuro was to finding solutions for my migraines when I was so young. Hoping you all are able to sort through the triggers and find a routine that helps to prevent them!

Tiffani, please don't feel the need to apologize for pointing out the obvious. I am referring to "By the time you finished commenting, you could have put on hyaluronic acid". It sometimes takes a comment like that to jolt me back to reality. Love your videos.

I am so sorry your little one has a migraine. I used to try all the cold stuff. Now I put a heating pad on the exact pain on my head. Try that and stay with her and watching her with the heating pad. Turn off the lights. Put her in her bed or on the couch and then just rub her hands slowly to keep her mind chill. Some times even thinking can hurt literally. Let me know if you try this. Good luck.

I myself am too strugling with terrible migraines for more than 12 years (I'm 25), I know your son is just a kid, but for me there are just a handful of remedies that actually helps. Caffeine with ergotamine - I take it when I feel the migraine comming. But the holy grail are immunoglobulins. I'm from Poland so I don't know what is available in the USA but I highly recommend looking it up. I take Emgality - small injection once a month and I just don't have migraines anymore, just regular headache like a normal person. I'm not sure if it has been tested on kids so it might be a problem, but nevertheless I wanted to share what is my remedy for this terrible illness

I have found that artificial food dyes give my son migraines. Even the smallest amount of anything with dye will give him a headache for 4 or 5 days straight. My daughter actually gets nightmares for the same amount of time after dye. We have had to cut it completely. Just thought you might want to test that out with your son. ❤
