If a switch matrix with 75 switches (with a diode on each one) is connected to a KB2040, is it possible for it to read all 75 switches closed simultaneously?

3:50 QMK was used by many yes. But VIA is basicly the new standard because of its user friendlyness, ease of use etc. So it would be nice if it hat support for VIA as well as QMK

Yeah i know QMK can do amazing things, but the effort just to put a simple config into a macropad is large. Just gigs of data to install a build environment, then a complicated build process.

VIA is dependent on QMK. It's essentially just a way to interact with QMK that's more user friendly. Not every QMK compatible board works with VIA, but every VIA compatible board uses QMK. iirc VIA compatibility requires that the board be put onto this huge repository, and custom boards and layouts are often not on it.

Remember when graphics cards had characters on them, maybe some of your boards need characters on them too
