This is my new project, its an all original 1958 Ford Custom 300. It's a true survivor car, never been re sprayed, or restored.

Yes, the late 50's to mid 60's was the best time for automotive industry.

I have a 1958 Ford Custom 300 4-door sedan, Raven Black & Colonial White, 6 cyl. w/ power steering. When I close the hood, it makes the exact same squeak sound yours does. Amazing! My headliner was ripped so I had to replace it with gray cloth because that "cross-hatch" pattern wasn't available. Pictures of the car on flickr. 🙂

I love when other people's old projects make the same weird noises mine do 🤣

If I’m remembering correctly, the Ford 292, had problems with the cam bearing, causing the cam to wear out. They had problems oiling the top end, because of it. My father had 61 Ford, that had the same problem, the cam wore out.

I’ve always loved the 58 Ford, and to me, they are just as sinister looking as Christine, especially in black.
