New project 1988 suzuki quadrunner 250

I picked this up today for 200.00 dollars. I was getting bad readings with my voltmeter. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it im glad I did

Hey bud...are the hot red and red/white wires connected together ? Then where is it going? Can u explain the connections to the battery please?

I've seen people spray oil on electrical connectors rather than use dielectric grease haha. Suzuki makes good machines, I got a suzuki motorcycle in my shed that i was given

Really? I haven't heard of that before. I just cleaned it out. Suzuki makes pretty good machines i really missed my old quadrunner

@@509trails Yeah its common to see in the salt belt done on electrical stuff. I wouldn't recommend spraying it with oil when dielectric grease is cheap! Keep the progress going. I'm trying not to buy a small hoard of bikes again haha.. - Muddy

Wiring gives me so many headaches. I’d rather do carb cleaning. Lol😂. I enjoy these videos. I just got a ran oil dry seized Sportsman 400. Still haven’t had the time to look yet but she’s decently treated 5 acre farm work use. I’ve had it soaking with marvel mystery oil in the plug hole and the plug back in to keep moisture out. Maybe I’ll go she if she will turn (after I remove the plug). They took it to shop that said a new motor would be easier. They sold it to me for 400$. Maybe it’ll go…

I worked on a Yamaha grizzly that was the same thing I used WD-40 penetrating oil and it worked great

Hey mate mine was working then went bang. I can short the start and it will turn over but wont fire. The start button doesnt work anymore. Any ideas what it might be? Cheers

Try disabling the Neutral safety switch also the the run and stop switch/ start button is most likely what is causing your problem. I would think the bang was from fuel build up in the cylinder
