Heliotrope deserves more attention in our gardens and planters than it gets. So beautiful

Thanks for the video. You're right. The plants have been confused with the unusually warm weather. Many lilacs rebloomig. One of my flowering crabs had blooms in September.

Heidi, that new dahlia line by Proven Winner's that you showed here in the purple color, I saw it planted in a hanging basket in a video ("Here She Grows" yt channel?), and it was stunning!! It filled and overflowed the hanging basket like a lush geranium would... and it was just beautiful! Who would think that you could use a Dahlia with flowers that large in a hanging basket. I definitely want to try it next year! And the hanging basket had this purple dahlia and nothing else with it, and it filled and spilled out perfectly.

I think that may be a good idea

New sub here. Thank you for sharing how many plants per variety makes up the display. Very helpful to plan next year's garden! You sold me on the Heliotrope for color and size. They will look lovely in my cottage rose garden. Other PW plants I will be shopping for in 2025 is the Tiera petunias and Angelonias.

Just seen that the east is headed for an intense bit of an extended HEATWAVE, though where I live we had a sharp killing frost last night and it's really cold today, though that's okay, was a beautiful long growing season and is time to get the gardens all prepared for the big sleep ahead!
@gardencrossingsАй бұрын
There is something that feels good about the garden going to sleep

@@gardencrossings Yes, as well we need a break from the growing, though I'm sure you get very little down time due to always having to plan and think ahead upon orders and their early arrival.

Good morning Heidi 😊 I am in love with the Dahlias 😍 I garden in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast. I am interested in what zone and lighting they grow in? Also the Star Diva and Heliotrope? Thank you for sharing 😊

Good morning Heidi, when will the pre order start for the 2025 plants? There are 5 different plants that are a must haves I want. Heliotrope be my favorite. It was so pretty when I was at the garden center a couple months back. I did get 1 of the begonias while I was there. It’s absolutely beautiful in my garden. I need more😂

Yes! I have been seeing that this Fall. With it being such a warm fall alot of the plants are starting to rebloom
@annespunАй бұрын
Here in MN the lilacs are reblooming because of a fungus. Very weird. Apparently they should go back to normal next year, i.e. not dangerous for the plant.
@gardencrossingsАй бұрын
it has been an odd season for sure
