I played basketball in that gym. I became a foosball champ there too. Also best handball goalie. Gym teacher couldn't even score on me. Started my acting career on that stage. Ate lunch for 3 years in basement. High school ball hadn't played there since 70s. Only Jr high. But film and story I believe are fiction based on the sport. I used to work concession stand during quarter and halftime breaks in Eldora for the boys and girls basketball games. My dad was the head of maintenance for the school so I'd help him open the bleachers and concession stand and set up the ropes for the lines and turn on lights and lower the baskets and set up score board table and turn them on. Then I'd sweep floor at half-time or work in concession stand. Afterwards help clean up and find money under the bleachers that people dropped. As a 4th grader that was exciting. I was last class to go 3 years Jr high at the np school. I think it's tore down now. Interesting fact. There was an underground tunnel between gym and school. So back in day I guess kids would use it to go to lunch when cold and snowing. Though I never had a chance to see it as it was closed off at time I was there. Another tid bit. Arick Baker the boy trapped in grain bin in New providence that made national news and became the 90 minute series premier of a news show series..... My mom babysat him and older sister from birth to kindergarten. His mom was 1 my teachers. And I was assistant teacher at Sunday school for Nikki and Arick. His name....eric but with an A and k was spelled that way cause mom Annette hence the A and dad Rick. New providence also made news and outrageous videos series for water tower collapse. Neighboring Eldora which n.p. school merged with was location of the climatic ending to the movie twister. A San Francisco tv commercial I was star of was filmed part in Eldora and part by new providence. I seen someone I knew in the n.p. movie trailer. Wish I could get movie online as I'm in Arkansas now. I own a small out door movie theater. Well just started 1 getting ready to open. Wish I could show movie here as the grand opening its movie.
