Hey davemoney, i've been cooking recently, and i've been doing a pyke build where i go statikk first, then i build normally, with duskblade and prowlers, the damage is pretty high, and i going genius hunter, cause duskblade gets a 7 secs cooldown(3 seconds less then normal)

I think the static shiv bounces kinda linearly, so if your not facing the whole wave it doesnt bounce right

That was what I was going to say. It bounces down the line. When he hit the middle cannon, it bounced towards the melee minions instead of the caster minions then at the end of the line it couldn't back-track to the casters.

Hey Dave, Long time fan of your stream You’re easily the best pyke player and you’re the only reason I’m still interested in this game Spectacular kill on Vayne! Had to slow-mo that a few times So, I had a unrelated build question: When going mid with pyke vs melee champs, I use eclipse and I add hydra and berserker boots. Why are those two items bad on pyke mid? I feel like it really helps the clear speed when I side lane in the mid game I know cdr is super important on pyke but is a loss of 20 ability haste really that detrimental? Would love your feed back Thanks Dave!

I'm not Davemon but I would say he prefers lucidity boots for the summoners CDR and bcs it has a lower cost. And hydra is ok I guess but Pyke doesn't rely a lot on lifesteal and already builds a lot of AD so there are better items to rush (maybe statikk can be a good rush for wave clear)

Hydra is too expensive and does not give lethality. Attack speed on Pyke is only good for waveclear but for a long time now Pyke is not the champ to farm and split. You gotta play for the teamfights, you dont scale, your goal is to finish the game early. Nowdays it's so unfun to play Pyke mid, so go for any build you enjoy the most. Just a rule of thumb is to build lethality on Pyke, anything other lethality is bad.

@@Davemon Thanks for the reply Dave! Good points made; Lethality only from here on out. Definitely have noticed in the past year+ how dry mid pyke has become. Hes still my favorite champ (my only champ if im honest) and i do love mid but, losing games are just not fun. Definitely have appreciated your pyke support vids as they give me good build ideas and great game strategy as a support role. Thanks again for the response Dave! keep up the great work!
