The mod list and way you describe creating the build is really helpful Nick - and most don't provide it in their videos... so a big thank you :). Is there time in how you create these to add a section on transitioning from say L50 with an older build into the new APOC sets and build? It's always a challenge knowing when to break your existing build and swap over to the new gear you are collecting, with the ensuing skill tree changes etc. Your advice here would be really useful for many I'm sure :)

Thanks Nick! finally. i've been trying to figure out this eruption build awhile now, i ran it with thermal bomb instead of ash blast and i got stuck around apocalypse tier 15. but this lets me blow on by that and back to clearing the entire trial in 30 mins again. this build is so much easier to put together than the heat seeker one too.

Pro tip for weapon mods: first things first is actually best in slot. Not only does it give you more AP via NRATF and unstoppable force but it is a straight up 50% buff to your eruption as well. A weapon with first things first and mage's rage is ideal. If you can somehow fit in fortress or deathronome as well that would be a god roll.

I'm only Apoc22 and was in a 19 tier to help a friend and I'm only missing like one dmg perk and I'm getting 1.4 mil anomaly power when I check towards the end of my damage window these numbers are insane for just being level 55 items with a 58 perfect roll mythos thank you for this build!

Have you used the gun mod ‘first things first’? It gives you 50% armor pierce after reload. It is a good replacement for omen.

speaking of first things first, i tested it myself and you can cancel the reload and maintain the buff until you shoot, keeping it up for all your skills. good stuff

I don't understand why they would nerf stuff since we're not competing against other players. Since its a solo/coop PvE experience leave things as is and buff other stuff if its really that big of an issue.

THe nerf is to enable those playing coop to actually participate with various builds. It's not "fun" for many players when they enter a boss fight and their team mate kills it before they even get their own attacks in place. Same same for entering a large room with many enemy spawns and they get AOE'd and dead before you even see them. I do agree with the sentiment that nerfing is bad in a game like this - and I'm so thankful it's not also PVP as that would lead to enormous animosity and nerfing/build restrictions that would destroy the game as it is (like so many other coop games that have PVP). Being PVE only doesn't mean no balance needed though.

@@michaelrobinson9643 I understand that but instead of penalizing something good, upgrade the things that are lacking to counter it. Not nerf it. The whole point of these are to have fun and if that fun factor gets taken out than you'll lose players. Players generate money. Money is what this whole industry revolves around sadly. Also, it's not a competitive game as in going against other players, another reason to not nerf stuff. I understand balance and when and where it's needed. This certainly is on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of necessity. Buff the other stuff, make it fun.

I like using nodes like Master Exploder and the mods that transfer into Res Pierce as it's like double dipping... you get the res pierce which increases damage, and then the damage bonus itself. I'm not sure if I've seen any data on the resistance that different mobs have though, or if you can take mobs into negative resist. Is that available?

Well i was playing a very similar build but going from bottom class tree to the middle and doing heatwave instead of overheat makes me doo way more damage and has way more survivability. the Last mod from the middle class tree gives 90% res pen (45% armor pierce for the pax tree mod). In my opinion better then build in vid^^

how does overheat help you against snipers tho? I am new to this. I have the same question for your Technomancer build, since you can't use "hunt" to jump behind snipers. Snipers are my biggest weakness in the game since they are never alone, there's always tons of mobs with them shooting at me...Being in close range to enemies (not a boss, bosses when alone are the easiest thing in the game) with any build is the biggest risk in the game for me...

I am really struggling with Okriel with this build. Its really squishy and he just does not spawn enough ads to kill and heal. Aswell as the AoE being undodgeable when you are close to him makes it super damn annoying...

Quick question for NickTew and the community..... I have been putting this build together and all my pieces have rolled with pretty much perfect mods im only missing 4 mods that were recommended for the build and all i need now is the lava leech helmet but i might be put in a situation where i have to choice between Bullet Kindling and Increased Duration on my final piece of my build, out of those 2 mods what would people say is the higher priority to be running??? I think Increased Duration is the play but i needed a 2nd opinion.

Awesome, love explosive pyro. Been running a variant of this but I use Thermal Bomb instead of Ash Blast to apply burn and set up wave clears. But I'm lacking legendary gear and TB is basically useless vs elites and especially bosses.

I was purely making a point about how you can't reliably detonate Elites for the splash damage since they have a tonne of HP. Eruption does the bulk of the ST damage anyway, I just like Thermal for add clear and because it gives me a 3rd explosive skill for the PAX tree (rather than double-casting eruption though I did finally get Etna)

Quick question. Do you need to have unstoppable force in order to make use of no resistance against the fortified? Reading description send like they are a package deal. If so unstoppable force would become a higher priority I think.

They are both important and synergistic with each other. Unstoppable force will give you more AP based on your Resistance Piercing while No Resistance Against the Fortified will give you more resistance piercing based on your armor piercing (and thus more AP via Unstoppable Force). If you had to choose between them I'd say Unstoppable Force wins just barely but you really should have both.

I just need to know how you got 22% cooldown reduction on your gear I have gotten to tier 25 so far and the max I ever see on any single piece of gear is 10.5% allowed on the cooldown stat, because the game actually lowers your percentage on the stat every time you upgrade that piece of gear, and you have to put another upgrade point into cooldowns to bring the stat back up to that 10.5%. Is there a Tier threshold where the game starts allowing those stats on the gear to go higher?

For the trials the 3rd boss where there are supposed to be phases and you charge the totems or whatever they are called lol, is there a way to skip a few phases during that boss fight with this build? With the pyro faser beam build i can skip phases on that boss with that build. Regardless this build with eruption is insane. Was just curious if you were able to skip phases on that boss with the eruption build?

I like AP devastator personally. You're a tank, do great damage and you can debuff enemies to boost other AP or FP builds. At least that's how mine is currently working. Doesn't kill as fast as the pyro, but I find it to be more enjoyable

I think the problem is it may not seem like a lot of content for you and for other streamers, because for most of you, this is a full time job. Maybe try to pace yourself?
