Take a look at "Bairro da Liberdade" In São Paulo, It's hard to guess that this place is in Brazil. There's also descendants of Koreans and Chinese here, but not as large as Japanese. And it's kinda hard to a Brazilian be 100% something, so even Asians here have something from Europe or Africa. It's more useful to look at communal inertia to understand rates of in-group marriage vs. outgroup marriage. Every culture and ethnic group you can divide into some communities with high outgroup marriage rates who will all contribute to the blurring of races but another component will have high inertia for religious, political, social, economic, ethnic, or cultural reasons. Many African Americans, Jews, Amerindians, Mennnonites, and rural white Americans will have a component that will stay in the community even over generational time as a marriage is a marriage and people cluster with people who they can understand.

The process began with widespread literacy and newspapers. Radio and then television then accelerated it, social media is just the icing on the cake. Even 30 years ago I found vox pop pieces on the television in which people from Liverpool or some parts of Scotland were interviewed were very difficult to understand. While people from those regions still have distinct accents, it is much rarer for me to hear ones that are completely incomprehensible. The same thing is true of travelling interstate in Australia. When I was a child and even a young women, going interstate meant new road rules, different coloured road markings, different brands of food and drink. There was even the unique square milk bottle in one part of South Eastern Queensland (in those days milk bottles were glass and returned to the milko to be re-used) and milkos in other parts of the country wouldn't take the square bottles off you. These days you don't even get that much sense of travelling to a foreign country when you go overseas. The style of road signs, the supermarkets, etc are all the same. On the plus side, the growing uniformity has led to some decidedly unpleasant and anti-social behaviours becoming less fashionable. I can live without people chewing with their mouths open or spitting in the street or not using deodorant. However, the social media can be a bit of a double-edged sword. Misogyny and racism are on the rise, encouraged by some sleazebags who are active in social media. Similarly, there are those who use social media to peddle ignorance (anti-vaxxers, flat-earthers, young earth creationists and so on). Also on the negative side, I think we are losing languages, dialects and customs and that makes us all poorer.

Well if you consider Neolithic ancestry as “Middle Eastern,” then sure, but all Europeans have varying degrees of that Neolithic farmer ancestry, but more so in Southern/SE Europe, which would be Italians, Greeks, etc. It has much less to do with more recent historical invasions like from Carthaginians or Arabs/Moors, who had much less of an impact on the gene pool. In any event, Middle Easterners are still “Caucasian” if you will and genetically (and phenotypically) cluster with Europeans way more than any other human population group. So to sum it all up, the vast majority of ethnic Italians look very European, just with a higher percentage of darker hair and eyes than what you’d see in Northern Europe.

Euro-african already exists. Most African Americans are mixed and so are the "Coloured" groups on the African continent. Coloured here is not as derogatory as in America but signifies a distinct people group of mixed heritage and culture. Edit: As for Afro-Asian, the AmaXhosas have a clan known as the AmaMolos who are descendants of Chinese merchants/ explorers who shipwrecked on the South Eastern coast of Africa. The Anglo-Indian mixed communities in India also formed their own identity based on their European heritage. And the reality is that wherever territory is obtained through war there is bound to be offspring of mixed blood. Where territory is acquired through trade, there is bound to be offspring of mixed blood. Wherever humans migrate, mixture will happen unless old cultural identities and customs are strictly adhered to (us vs them mentality). This is easy to do across colour lines but not so across ethnic lines (among people of the same skin color and features; because that's what race is: an attempt at systematically categorising humans based on their skin tone and features).

Again, like you said, barring cataclysm, I think the biggest influence on future human divergence besides migration will be birth rates. We all know that Europe and East Asia have very low rates but the rate is trending lower and lower across most regions including Latin America and the Middle East. This means that the future biggest genetic contributors to the global gene pool, and possibly the most economically dominant as well, will likely be those who are as far removed from this trend as is currently possible, namely places like Sub-Saharan Africa and the Philippines.

here in brazil at least 80 -90% have some mixed roots, even if they dont look like they would have it. I think both India and China are almost as diverse when it comes to the genetics of their population. The difference would be that the Chinese had a Dominant group i.e. the Han Chinese who managed to assimilate most of the other groups in that country into one unifying Chinese culture. Whereas in India no such group was able to be that dominating and hence there are both genetic and cultural differences between various groups in the country. One of the reasons for this can be that India wasn't really one united political entity for most of it's history(only the Mauryans, Guptas, Mughals and the British Raj were able to unite the entire country, with the Guptas and Mughals still not being able to conquer some regions of the subcontinent). Whereas China has been more consistent in having empires that were able to unify the whole country.

As someone that grew up in the Turkish part of Germany, I see further segregation as the most likely path. While I did have some really good Turkish friends, I have to say that every generation becomes more estranged to the natives and I´ve seen radicalisation, both religious and nationalistic. If you want to convert to Islam, you´ll be readily accepted among them (very unlike most Europeans, who tend to view ethnicity as purely blood-based), however, if you don´t then you´ll get pushed aside and boycotted in every way possible. This can go as far that shop owners don´t even speak to you nor accept you as a customer! I kid you not, I´ve seen it! I also know Turks that got verbally attacked for visiting shops run by Christians! This development has various reasons: 1) the first and second generation were a minority and thus were forced to integrate. Today, you can live your entire life in Germany without speaking a word German! There are websites that show you where you can find Turkish doctors, etc. 2) Turkey itself invests a lot in ethnical segregation in Europe. They have special TV program for European Turks and fund schools etc. all with a political agenda that is not in alignment with German goals (to put it mildly) 3) In some places, 2/3rds of a class are ethnic Turks. As they form the local majority, they can defacto impose rules on the natives. 4) with the apparent segregation and rise of Islamistic and Nationalistic movements and news coverage on Terror attacks worldwide, but also local crime, the native Germans developed a fairly negative opinion on their Turkish minority, which means that Turks often struggle to find jobs outside Turkish dominated areas and can even receive threats, when moving into places with high native populations.

Well, my family may have already done that! My father was full Indigenous American of half Comanche (his mother) and half Abenaki (his father), my mother is half Irish, her mother having immigrated here as a teenager and almost immediately afterwards, she married my grandfather, who was Italian with some possible Austrian ancestry in there somewhere. My ex-husband is half Cuban on his father's side, with his grandmother being Afro-Cuban and his grandfather being much more Spanish in his lineage, my ex's mother is German, Irish, and Scottish. My son married a woman who is of almost half Nigerian descent, with some Congolese thrown in from her father, and English, Irish and German from her mother. Hopefully, one of my very racially blended, beautiful, and brilliant granddaughters will fall in love with, oh I don't know, but perhaps someone from Japan or mainland Asia!

Mesaman, you might want to show the variations with darker skinned more African looking features. Too often "african mixed" people are paraded around with features that barely show their African heritage. Dark skin or slight African looking features does not accurately represent the most common. Obama is 50% white but he doesn't appear to be this borderline white person which barely shows his African features. So is it the case with most black/white mixtures, and black/Asian mixtures. Most bi-racial people have very curly or kinky hair, not straight or wavy hair. The point? blackness is not submerged under the Asian or White.
