The seats were working, they just stopped folding because it was moving the front seats forward to make enough room. You can see the drivers seat moving forward slightly at the start.

@Do One Tf is your problem? If you watch the drivers seat closely, you'll see it move forward to make room for the rear seats to fold down. There is absolutely no reason to be a dickhead. And yeah, JLR are known for their problems, I'm not some blindsided fanboy, I'm just simply stating a fact of how the seat folding mechanism works.

I know I’m like four months late, but I think the reason they stopped was maybe because the front seats have to move forward slightly to make room for the head rest as the seats fold down. I know that it happens at least in the discovery so it might be the same for the Range Rover. I think there’s a part of the video where you can hear a little bit of a whirring while the backseats aren’t moving which I think might be the front seats moving

Lease is good if your only using is for 2 years, using it for a business in order to get some tax deductions, which would make up the difference end of the year because payments would be high on a lease. If you get one a few years old, I’d say buy Forsure, they’ve went back up in value and are going to continue to rise and hold value for few more years.

It moves the front seats so they don't come in contact with eachother. You can see it in the video that they actually move. When the rear seats are completely down the front seats go back into correct position. ;) I find it weird that a british car journalist didn't know or even realize.

Agreed from North America where that’s true of all the European cars unless you have a non-dealer mechanic who specializes in the brand and won’t make a silly mistake with it. Not that the dealer won’t send it back with a cracked water pump days after the warranty expires. I’m sure a visual inspection is supposed to be part of scheduled maintenance and I didn’t bring it when I did with the warranty expiration looming for nothing. You need to be ready for an expensive repair either way unfortunately. They gave me so little when I traded that one in that the only reason I didn’t keep it was because anybody I could try to help out with that wouldn’t need something to drive if they could afford to maintain an out of warranty range rover. It feels good to really help someone but feels like shit on both sides if they need to make you their ATM

@Pulse Blade I had multiple problems with both ive had and won’t own again and besides that they’re actually the number one most unreliable manufacturer in the world and have 6 cars in the top 10 for models too. Look great no doubt but you don’t become the number one most unreliable manufacturer by being good. The problems are almost all electrical. I worked for them for 12 years and the customer satisfaction surveys etc where shocking, you’re one of the few lucky ones and I actually envy that as I style wise etc I love them

This car has serious reliability issues with the gearbox and problems associated with the dpf filter. Had a 20 plate R Dynamic D180 S for 12 months, and getting rid after numerous issues. Fumes coming into the cabin, gearbox sticking, gearbox failing to select, suspension issues, dpf failure and more! Stay well clear if you want a vehicle that won't be in getting looked at every month! The brand is clearly suffering from poor manufacturing and design faults. No gone for a Kia Sorento and it's hands down way better than the Evoque!!!!!
