They’re almost like the blushes, a shocking amount of ka-pow upon first application! They look really pretty and appealing and I like the brand a lot, I’m definitely interested in trying them, probably in the same colors you chose! Agreed with the gold highlighters. My skin tone is similar to yours and I feel gold looks a little too C-3PO on me (and others with my light to medium peach colored skin). Thanks for this review! I keep exploring new highlighters but keep going back to my absolute favorite - and never expected to love it when I bought it - Too Faced Diamond Fire. I don’t know that it is around anymore so I keep trying to find something very similar for when this magical tray that keeps going and going, finally “pans” out.

I have a light neutral skin tone and swatched all in Sephora today. I liked exhilarate because it was the most natural on me. Enlighten was too icy and mesmerize was beautiful but left a cast. Without swatching I would have picked that one up

Tracie! You know we speak the same language when it comes to this. And, may I add in that I feel the same, as you likely know, about luxury brands that are new to the beauty market. Celebrities and extra luxury brands, it always just feels like a cash grab and in both celebrity and luxury as well, They generally farm it out to another place like Gucci with Cody, and they have no idea what’s even happening. They just stamp their name on it. So I avoided rare for the first year of its release also but now I am realizing that she is integrally involved in the brand and doesn’t even seem to be doing the music right now because of it. And I realize it has some serious integrity behind it so now I am a fan. But it took me a while also. And that’s why I never bought Burberry at first. I just figured they were trying to take my money by stamping their name on some licensed out product but that wasn’t the case.

Hmmmmm. Interesting products and brand. Never tried, but I absolutely love it on your eyelids and in the corner of your eyes. Love BOTH shades that way. Not so sure about on the face/cheeks - seems to emphasize pores? Could be the harsh bathroom lighting though. Would consider buying one of them to keep for eyes though - really pretty and easy to apply with fingers too. Definitely not as attractive 10 hours later. Probably just me being tired and my skin being tired but your eyes do not lie. Fortunately, it is not really the product itself or the formula that shows off any skin texture but, rather, the nature of the beast, if that makes sense. Anything with any amount of highlight will definitely emphasize anything that’s there. If that makes sense.

right after finger swatching it in store i picked up Exhilirate :). it's the golden champagne but i didn't think it was too gold, much more champagne/nude. i think it would suit your complexion as well but understand if you don't generally like champagne. i'm light/medium neutral if that helps! x

I cracked up quite a bit at your surprised reactions 😆 When I first saw the teaser pics, I was wondering if it'd be a hybrid formula like Mac Glow Play blushes or Kaja mochi things, or a straight up cream, I'm kinda bummed to to know it's a powder. I've got so many highlighters now, that I'm not interested at looking at anymore. I do own four of the Dior Backstage Eye Palettes that are very pigmented and also can look stunning on the eyes. I recently bought the Burberry Face Palette with the six pans of product which include a white and pink highlighter, plus I own a number of individual ones too. I especially love Lethal Cosmetics highlighters. I do use gold on my lighter skin tone but it really does look nice. I'm not one to go overboard, as my face is on the smaller size and my hair is a lighter shade of blonde. When I get some sun, my skin turns a golden brown which could be why I can wear gold highlighter, although I do like some unusual shades such as blue, green, violet and even duochrome highlighters. I always remember - everything in moderation!🇦🇺💖

One of my Backstage Palettes is the Gold one with four types of gold shades, plus I've got the one from last year's Écrin Face Palette from Dior. I think it depends on the skin tone and how it's applied. My duochromes are interesting but less is definitely the way to go. Can't live without my highlighters!💖

Hello Kira! I think it’s the most interesting about these is definitely the formula. There are no glitter flakes and it is truly smooth like a setting powder would be but with intense reflectivity and opaqueness. Yes, when it all boils down, it is another highlighter. I will not lie to you. But it does have a very attractive formula and it looks very pretty on the eyes as well.

I would have been more interested if this was a cream highlighter instead as too many of them have rose or lavender in them. I am struggling to identify one without florals as most clean brands include it like that brand by RHW you love. For powder highlight I am waiting to see the Charlotte Tilbury ones that are coming which is my favourite brand for highlight. I think many who were waiting for Rare Beauty’s might now hold off instead to see CT reviews as a comparison or at least wait for a sale. These are going on my future sale list but I prefer gold or pink tones over too cool pearl ❤

I think it’ll work when it is put on in a very sheer way almost tapped on with your finger and then gently blended out with your hand so that the oils of your hand make it a bit more sheer, if that makes sense. I think then it will be very pretty
