Dale and I rode the trail again this weekend. The corner at 14:20 is getting pretty chewed up. A deep rut has formed there. Otherwise, the trail is in good shape. A groove is starting to form.

Just a heads up, the trail head was easy to miss when heading "down" Freeman Canyon. Best bet for finding the trail is to head up Freeman from Pipeline Road and look for it on your right.

From Pipeline Road, the trail head is about 1/2 mile up Freeman Canyon, on your right.

Re: police scanner. What you hear are our two-way radios. As Hungry Valley state park volunteers, we carry radios to communicate with dispatch and rangers to find injured and lost riders and to respond to accidents.
