Good shit bro. That’s on my bucket list for my mk3. Where can I find the 3.27 gear?? I’m cd9 aswell
@Mr94soarer5 жыл бұрын
Well what diff are you using? If ur using a stock mk3 diff it's no way for u to use a 3.26. If u go 8.8" then u can get a 3.27 gear. They have plenty of different t gears to choose from.

Edward3jr I know, I messed up. You can definitely see the difference between them both side by side though.

@@Mr94soarer yes the MN12 platform included 89-97 Cougars and Tbirds, with strongest one being in the 1989-95 SuperCoupes and XR7s. The Mark VIIIs were also MN12 cars that ran through 1998. Most had 3.08 and 3.27 gears. The best part about the mn12 platform is that the V6 and V8 cars all got the 8.8 rear unlike their solid-axle cousins
@Mr94soarer5 жыл бұрын
FastTX FiveOh yea I think the T bird and mark8 ones are strongest because iron cases.
@supastarvfr95345 жыл бұрын
@@Mr94soarer yep. The cobra one is fairly strong but, it uses a 31spline diff, if memory serves. Not sure they still sell it but, I got a Ford Racing unit with 3.73s in back in the early 2002. Worth every penny. Man, all the vids and FB post have me anxious to get an SC400. I need a break from Mustangs

duuuude this is so sick, I can't wait to see it done but my question is what was the main reasoning to switching to this diff over the Torsen you had prior? will this handle more abuse or what?
@Mr94soarer5 жыл бұрын
Joey .Angelucci reasons for me switching over is the torsen gets the job done but for drag racing it isn't ideal. It's been known to break. Whereas the 8.8" is some what a cheaper option if something breaks. They are also very strong and can take just about anything you throw at it. Plus mine will be built.

How much did it cost you?

Chris Cole all depends on what level axles and lsd you go with but usually 3-4k
