The paper the bacon comes on is oven safe and you put it on your pans just like parchment paper. Only use once and throw away. That is why it is set up that way. So a restaurant can peel a sheet off and put it in the oven to cook fast and easy!

Some restaurants made you strip it off as they had platten press grills. Paper would burn. Though it spaces out well to cook.

Wow that is cool to know. Thank you for the fun fact
@karenknapp49182 жыл бұрын
I never had that problem as I didn’t put it in an extremely hot oven. I did 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Restaurants cook at higher temperatures in better ovens than most people own in their homes to cook in. So mine never burned the paper on mine ever.

Happy Friday Amy & family. The caramel apples 🍎 looked good. I've never had one of those but, my mom would make her own popcorn balls everything October & pass them out at Halloween; this was "way back in the day" (LOL) years ago when it was safe to have your child receive unwrapped candy at Halloween. Set it on the stove top with a little water, get the water boiling and dump some baking soda in the water wait a minute or two so the bubbles die down, turn the stove off and gently scrape the chunks up. Wash as you normally would. It is the easiest way I have found to get anything that sticks to pretty much any pan. It Evan works on cast iron just remember to season after. It's a trick my great grandma taught me. I guess when she was a kid and young adult in the 1920s they didn't have in door plumbing, which meant no hot tap water. She kept doing it that way Evan after she got indoor plumbing because it works so well. You don't have to wait forever for the pans too soak or waste lots of water because your soaking water gets cold. Anyway I just thought I'd through that tip out there for anyone who maybe hates cleaning stuck on pans.

In order not to change prices much right now I suspect fast food restaurants are making some of their meals smaller so they don’t need to hike the price. If you look at some of the packaged food in the store some companies are selling a slightly smaller package these days too...I noticed with cream and chocolate chips specifically.

A trick I learned for cooking bacon in the oven - Put bacon on foil lined cookie sheet. Put pan in a cold oven. Set heat for 400 degrees and timer for 26 minutes. You get perfect crispy bacon every time! (25 minutes for less crisp.) Of course, everyone's oven temps can be different, so you might need to watch it the first time you use this method. ENJOY! Blessings, Janell

Amy, I have learned when making caramel/candy apples, you need to put the apples in a pot of boiling water for about a minute. The reason is because the apples have a coating of wax on them to help keep them fresh and bruise free during shipping, otherwise the candy won't adhere to the apples, it will just slip off.......

I buy heavy cream and make homemade butter. I put the heavy cream in a canning jar and kids love shaking the canning jars and watch the heavy cream into butter. Price of butter is high. Before the price of heavy cream was higher than butter now price of butter is higher than heavy cream. Why I love making homemade butter you can put how much salt in the homemade butter. I make salted butter and butter without salt.
