Wish I had today's video tech back then. I was there right after very 1st support concrete forms was poured still was fresh maybe within 1 to 2 days. I Hunt & fish area a whole lot when I lived in Fayette County. And yes I left there work alone. Just look at it in wonder as a kid. Something to see watch that bridge built as teenager.

Ditto I was working for the WV Geological Survey Coal Resources Program living in Rainelle. I had a good film Camera, but a vehicle that was of necessity dirty inside and out. Got some better photos when I was back to do some of the bedrock mapping in the early 20 teens and had waterproof digital field cameras.

The sandstone under the arch and the Sewell Coal mining is the Raleigh Sandstone a sedimentary quartzite that can take the abuse.
