I’m waiting on mine. FedEx is having issues. But I’m thinking a better set of soft tires with aluminum wheels and a brass ring in the front. A rear bed tray that many aftermarket companies are making will put a few ounces of rear weight will turn this rig into a beast. Every review I’ve watched have raved how good it is. I’ve seen a couple of reviews where they do a run then swap the tires and rims and thing goes everywhere.

Put the Jconcepts Landmines on, it has a stepped lug design. Under compression, those tires “bite” I’ve used them before and they are unreal.

I appreciate that! I wouldn’t count on the servo being waterproof. It don’t really say. I’m sure it can handle water pretty well as most of them do ok. I’d say if it’s submerged a lot though it may have issues. But that’s just a guess. The fusion in it should be fine. I’ve sank those things plenty lol

Nice! I always run these in my crawlers. Small enough they keep weight down but they last a LONG time. Great price also! Plugs straight into the fusion! amzn.to/3Pvykmf

@@Senditjp247 oh yeah! Nothing to that. They are a 1.9 tire. Beadlock wheels so you’ll just remove the screws and be good to go!

The panhard does have some more material added compared to the regular Ascent which should fix the issues we've seen. We forgot to mention it in the marketing material.

any bump steer? and how easy is it to get in there and make changes? the og was a pain to work on motor and other parts and excessive plastics. seeing it go from soa to cms, though more scale, just seems a bit backwards and complicating the geometry which the og wasn't that good to begin with. is it still a reversed mullet? the og had a lower rear axle clearance compared to front. I have been asking whether these new rigs are progressing the hobby forward, or are they just cloning or just putting out what we've already done.

Hmmmm... Do I or do I not? Got it added to my basket & not 100% sure if I should buy this or one of the FMS trucks/ Axial 1/10s.. I've watched a ton of vids on this one but you can tell they got it for free & not being totally honest incase it effects them getting more freebies haha. I fully trust your opinions though. Or should I just save the money & get an Xmax or Krayton? Advice needed lol

@@DesignedRhyme I’ve had great luck with the ascent. I swapped this one to a hard body and haven’t ran it as much as my original ascent but I’ve really ran that truck. It’s been a great truck. The only issue I had was I stripped out the hole where the pan hard bar attached to the axle so I went servo on axle. On the fusion ascent it’s a bit harder to do that because you’d have to change the motor mount or something. The motor sits too low to 4 link it when doing the servo on axle. I do prefer the servo on axle on the ascent though. It seems to just steer better once the work is put in to do it. I broke one rear link at the threads so I swapped links and I had a screw back out in the diff gear but I think Redcat started to loctite that screw now so it won’t happen. The value you get with this truck is insane imo. The carbon fiber rails and hardware alone are worth the price difference and then you get the fusion on top of that. The fms FCX10 k5 is a great truck but it won’t keep up with this truck as far as performance goes and there’s not really any aftermarket support for it. If looking for a more trail style truck it’s great but the ascent will definitely outperform it. I can’t speak much on the rtr axial trucks cause I don’t really own any of the current ones. I have a bronco scx10iii and it’s been great but again it’s not going to compete in performance with the ascent unless you really start doing mods. Now if I’m doing a full custom build I almost always go with axial components but as far as stock rtr trucks that perform, I don’t know that it gets much better than this. I had the stance and just really wasn’t a fan of it. Ended up letting it go and kept this. As far as the xmaxx goes the thing is an absolute beast if wanting a basher so I highly recommend getting one of those also at some point 😆

@@2fmrc They want $217 shipping, then I'd be hit with import duties too! Not willing to pay $617, then ontop of that the import fee which will take it well over $700 for it haha. If they make it a more realistic price on shipping I might think about it but as of now, not a chance. Have you driven the Outcast or a Kraton? If so, out of those three (including an Xmaxx), what one do you think is best? All three of them are available in the nearest RC shop to me. Edit; darn auto correct!

@@DesignedRhyme don’t blame you a bit. No way I’d pay that much shipping! I haven’t personally had the outcast or Kraton but I’ve had buddies with them. The only thing I’m not a big fan of with the Arrma trucks are they always have the aluminum chassis that ends up bending. My buddy broke the bulkhead off his Kraton 8s first time out while I sent my xmaxx over and over with no issues. BUT they all break at some point. I’ve had friends have major issues with xmaxxs also so they all have issues at times. I love the xmaxx but I can’t speak on the others cause I haven’t owned those. I do have the Arrma fireteam & Mojave and both of those have been tough!

Okay. Learned the lesson. Never buy the first new model. Now even more regret doing so, even paying about 150 bucks more that what it costs over there to import one. Finding it was pretty overhyped on KZbin, needing a lots of work / upgrades to be any good. The 1/18 over here can’t be bought for the price it got introduces. Now this. They should have made this the original one. Take an example on the new fms. All there at introduction and bang for the buck. No more redcat for me….
